Twizzle

The past few times that I have tried to play Twizzle it freezes on the first move.  It is a daily challenge today, useless.  This seems to be happening more often with an increasing number of games.  Any chance that POGO can get a thorough cleaning up?  Feels like it is dying and perhaps EA should just shut it down instead of continuing to charge money for a failing platform.

Hello! Sorry to hear about Trizzle freezing for you, this has been reported by a few players throughout the years, just takes a bit of adjusting on our devices. Here are the steps > 🪆Trizzle Freezing Fix Guide | EA Forums - 10407257

"This seems to be happening more often with an increasing number of games.  Any chance that POGO can get a thorough cleaning up? "

Pogo is a browser-based gaming site and relies heavily on our devices to be clean, updated and room to move in real time.

    Historic Shift

Java applets and Adobe Flash used to power most of the interactive content on the early web — things like games, animations, and online tools. But over time, browsers stopped supporting them. This created a major shift in how the web works.

Flash officially ended in 2020, and Java applets disappeared when browsers removed the plugin system they depended on. Once those technologies were gone, the web had to evolve, and most websites do not look the same as they did before because of this. Instead of relying on plugins, browsers started using built‑in technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebAssembly. These are faster, safer, and work on every device — especially phones.

That’s great — but it also means our devices have to work harder to keep up.

Modern websites store a lot of information on our devices, like cookies and cached files. These help pages load faster, but they also build up over time. On top of that, browsers and operating systems release constant updates to stay secure and compatible with the latest web standards.

✅ Because of all this, it’s more important than ever to take care of our devices. Cleaning out old data, restarting them regularly, and installing updates helps everything run smoothly and keeps us safe online.

Not everyone knows how to clear cookies or cache, delete old files, check for browser or graphics‑driver updates, adjust browser extensions or visual settings, run disk cleanup, refresh DNS, power‑cycle their equipment, whitelist Pogo, or perform other routine system checks.

No matter the device or the maker, updates and basic cleaning are continuous tasks, and they need to be done a bit more often now than they used to (plus there is the AI wave currently happening).

This matter is less about Pogo requirements and more about the essential need for the routine upkeep of our devices and the operation of modern systems. By learning a few simple maintenance steps, gamers can experience a smoother, more reliable experience, with fewer loading issues, fewer crashes, and better overall performance. This is how I game on Pogo for smoother gameplay.

Hope this helps with understanding and Take Care🪆

  • I have a brand new laptop and Pogo/EA sports stemming from way back when AOL was the gaming site.   This suggestion for fixing Twizzle did not change a thing.  My setting were already what you suggested.
