So I  go from being ahead by quite a bit on all utilities to where I am apparently at now way in the hole...

Same with service all around! 

I suddenly have to pay thousands of simoleons just to get back to good 

You people absolutely ruined this game,  once a source of calm and fun is now utterly destroyed. 

You are greedy and and I am done

    This update was released to force you to buy coins cash and expansion items. No thought process into how the gameplay. Just greedy and I’m quitting

    And on top of everything with that we've been dealing with related to this new Services 2.0 package, capital city taxes are now cut in half even though I did upgrade that to 100% happiness and it's at the maximum population I've ever had this game is getting ridiculous and the makers are not making it user friendly.
