Anyone else lower their league level?

Hello,

My city's population is about 1.7 million, and despite my best efforts I cannot place in CoM Megalopolis league that I often find myself getting put into.

I realize I dig myself into a hole by not engaging in Club Wars but that aspect of this game does not appeal to me at all.

I find myself at the moment deliberately staying out of CoM to get myself at a lower level.  I was wondering if others ran into this situation?

Thanks.

  • @NewGoodlandHello! The CoM grouping is by your city level and there's definitely high competitive zones. Levels 18-19 are more competitive because a lot of players keep their feeders in the level, and I heard level 99 is highly competitive too. I used to get grand or big prizes when I was level 30ish, but as the level gets higher it gets harder. I'm now at 70 and playing in the Megalopolis league, I can only get a small prize even though I score 80K-100K.

If you skip " upgrade residential zone" tasks, you can keep your city level low. But yeah, it's hard to get a high score in CoM if you skip those tasks. I now only upgrade residential zones for CoM tasks, but my city level goes up every 8-10? weeks. I still would rather score more in CoM so I can complete the Mayor's pass. I dropped to the Metropolice league last week (I took a break because I completed the Mayros pass), it seems it's a lot less competitive. So it's one of the options to move between Megalo and Metro I think? It depends on what you want, if you want to complete the mayors pass or what you want for prize. If you want more golden keys not platinum keys, lower leagues seems better etc..

Also it seems it's hard to win in CoM without participating in wars since they now have lots of high points war tasks. Finding an active non-war club or war-only-for-task-club would help you to be successful in CoM. Good luck!

Yes I built many new residential areas this summer. Some of the Latin American themed extras were attractive.

I don't usually pay attention to what level I am in, but now that you mention it I am in level 52.

    Thanks for the well wishes.
