Area Services Improvements Are Coming to SimCity BuildIt

Before update i just upgrade all omega  control net to max level and all omega buiding covered. After upgrade all control net back to level 1. Why EA missed it? Need to fix it imediately. Neosimoleons wasted. 

And you also forget to update service in regional building. 

To have waited all this time, for these changes to a disastrous update, it's not great.

What can I say? Pathetic would be a good answer. Adding three levels to services does not prevent us from being forced to multiply services, thus taking up unnecessary space, and having to spend more to have less than before.

The new compact services are nothing more than the already existing basic services. 

Really not up to the inconveniences due to services 2.0.

AI is running this game now, the moderator is a robot so you’ll get no response from it. Robots can’t read or listen to our complaints otherwise this game would be running really well…..not

You say you are listening...... welp, the development team has introduced yet another bug to the app. On the left side of the screen where you place constant reminders.... in the blue envelope, we tap on it, it shows the resulting pop-up message, we tap to close and the blue envelope stays on the screen. Ugh.

What can we expect next from this company?

Ignoring the hundreds and hundreds of issues on this forum will only result in more complaints. Food for thought - if you reply and ACT on some of these issues they will eventually start to fade away. Gee who would have ever thought that?

Next up - the latency in the game has gotten out of control. We swipe to move across our cities and the game just sits there as if we had done nothing at all. Then 3-5 seconds later the swiping action takes place and we go from one side of the city to the other. Or it locks in on the action of moving a building - in which we did not want to do. This latency issue is very annoying.

Before you say it is our device - we have a latest tablet, running an updated operating system and a fiber-optic internet connection. For instance we uploaded a 25mb pdf file just two days ago - it only took three-four seconds to upload.

Next - in game help is now crashing and closes the game. Great close down another avenue for us to submit an issue. What is it about listening that this company does not get?

Reminders, do you really think that we are going to purchase the "premium pass" with one day remaining in three-week contest? Talk about desperation on the gaming teams part. Some weeks we let this game sit on purpose, when returning it takes two-three minutes before all of you pop-ups subside. Do you not think that you have cluttered up this game enough with your begging?

Placing weekly COM assignments for watching ads. Again what desperation. Is this a game for building a city or a game for advertisements? Between your pop-ups and ads this is starting to take over the original ideal for this game, let alone all of the freezing, crashing issues.

This next one seems minor compared to the other issues. Now we have a very bright blue-ish green light coming from the Fusion Power and search lights from the Contest Headquarters. Instead of reducing the overload of this game on players devices you are increasing it

One would have to ask.... who is in charge of the development team? Do you not have a qualify control staff? Who sets the vision for this game? You cannot have one game be an all-in game for everyone. Separate, reduce and fine tune this app and you will find out it will run much better for players.

I haven’t used the new service buildings as my city is functioning how I want without messing around with adding or removing buildings. My game constantly crashes and if that could be “fixed” maybe, just maybe I’ll change them!

As to the area manager where are our moderators?  Are they still with EA or are they now redundant? Not one remark or comment for over 2 months and then you say your listening….hah what a load of crock just fix the game!

Thank you for these changes but the game crashing continues. Whenever I try to access the mayor’s pass section and other areas on the main city the game crashes! VERY FRUSTRATING! Hard to make changes. Will anything be done about this?  I have done all suggested remedies and I am convinced the problem is NOT with my device.

I appreciate the allowance for higher capacity small buildings for police, fire, and health. I had been holding out hope that things would go back to "normal". Unfortunately,  you missed the update for omega control net and regional service buildings. Those small and medium buildings continue to lack the service capacity of the original buildings,  leaving my regions perpetually unhappy. Please complete your efforts to fix the service 2.0 shortcomings so we can return to happy times in our cities and regions.

Oh so you are listening! Maybe......

There have been hundreds of complaints of this forum where a community manager has not given a reply to a players post. So I guess we should be grateful that you have said: "we heard your feedback"?

First of all what took so long? Service 2 rollout was in February 2026. And as the player posted below why are these improvements coming out AFTER most players have quit or spent hordes of resources, reduced population due to having to redesign the city layout, just to try and fix what service 2 took away from us. This boondoggle of an update; little more than a cash grab, cost us over 10 million Simoleans and over a month of game freezing because we could not access our EMS, or Utility Services. Which our cities happiness went crashing down only to collect a few thousand Simoleans in taxes per day instead of 30k per day.

Instead of EA and the gaming team ADMITTING that they made a mistake you have color coated it by saying "we have listened to your feedback". What about the players that have quit this game? How are you going to draw them back in? The potential loss in game revenue is how much? EA does not even know the answer to that question.

How are you going to reciprocate the players that spent hours and hours, untold amounts of resources rebuilding their cities that took them years to complete? Along with service 2 you should have renamed this game: SimCity Rebuild It.

We all would have much preferred an admission of guilt, something that was more honest to the players for releasing service 2. EA, the gaming team, the development team should be grateful that EVERYONE did not quit.

As far as the "new services" are concerned they will never be the same as when we first started playing SCBI. Can you answer this question honestly? Why did you even release service 2? It goes without saying that this rollout should have been reversed immediately after its release, not 4-1/2 months too late.

A better line of thinking would have been - lets streamline the game, get it back to where it once came from. There are so many new ideals added to SCBI that one could hardly recognize it was first released as an updated morph of SimCity.

We will have to wait and see what the players think about this "stepping back" on EA's part.

oracle2867​ - have you checked your app store directly? I find the game doesn't auto-update for some reason, I have to trigger the update manually each time.

It is unfortunate that these improvements are coming out AFTER mayors have already had to change layouts and spend a lot of currency upgrading the services we already had. This may benefit new players but I see little for existing ones who have already had to put a lot of work into rearranging cities and spending lots to do it. What we want is more land. I see we were graciously gifted an extra line of land squares in the main city, this is nice but we need more across the regions as well as the main city. I still have 45 land deeds unable to be used and the number grows every season. Our inventories are bursting with unused items because there's nowhere to put them. Give us more land!
