Assignment algorithm becoming tedious

I have been playing Buildit for a year or 2 now and for almost all of that I have really enjoyed it.   And I get that this game is here to make money for the developer, but in the last few months the level for assignments that would push you to spend money has reached a point where I am about to quit playing.  I pay for the Mayor's Premium Pass each season and occasionally I will buy some dollars.  I play the game to get ahead and not buy my way ahead.  That said, the fact that I will not get a single building upgrade assignment in a Mayor's Pass period for the Latin America Zone or for the Tokyo Town Building (in a 36 day period), but I can complete 2 Omega zones in a row, get a 3rd (Build 3 zones) delete that one and immediately get another (Build 3 Omega Zones) is just getting to be too much.   This also goes for the Launch Disasters at Monster and a number of other things.   The idea of the game is to build cities, but my cities haven't grown much since I started playing the Mayor's Pass.   Anyone else getting annoyed with seeing the same assignments, in particular the Omega Zone builds?

  • @okcjj Very well stated...I’m aware of several longtime competitive players that have simply walked away from the game in the last 30 days for this very reason. The “team” has done a poor job of maintaining the integrity of CoM. Constant redundant tasks of very low value or that call for unreasonable resources is the norm. Overvaluation and abundance of war game assignments have ruined the competitive nature of the contest and the level of unaddressed cheating/hacking is destroying it’s credibility.
You are correct, it’s a business and the goal is to generate as much profit as possible and there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem is you have too many folks in the process that have lost sight of the fact (or probably never knew) that you must provide a high level quality product at a cost that represents value to the customer to be successful. Case in point is this week’s chocolate factory fiasco...things happen, but then to tell folks it’s worked itself out is insulting and shows a tremendous lack of knowledge and respect for the player. It’s really sad...and yet not that difficult to fix.
