heat has been a constant issue for me since I started playing also. when my device starts to get too hot I just set it on the tile floor to cool it off. it only takes about a minute and I'm back to normal.
however I can no longer charge while I play since this last update because the overheating issue is super bad if I'm plugged in and it causes my device to go all wonky and lock up.

In my tablet's settings I can set the charging limit to around 80% and it will stop charging whether it is plugged in or not.
Apparently it extends the life of the battery.
Eventually though any battery will not hold much of a charge due to degradation 😞
