Yep, point #1 is causing everyone i know that does war (experienced people that usually pay real $ to upgrade cards) to consider quitting game entirely. EA need sot make train stations optional from a game design perspective, not compulsory affecting every activity that is being pursued.
EA, if you are listening, gamers will spend money and their time based on value of play. I am sure you know this concept. However, you aren't practicing it. The algorithms you employ are totally gamed to make everything harder already, the game takes way too much time to compete, and now you wan tto make it even harder while reducing the already paltry rewards.
I will tell you what will happen now.
1. Players already vowing to no longer pay for Mayor premium pass anymore (almost everyone i know)
2. Quit game entirely (this is mostly due to train parts for war repairs, deliveries, com tasks)
3. And now, many are taking about going and becoming a cheater and hacking the game.
Great job EA alienating your most loyal players and instead of actually addressing the hacking issue already rampant, you are encouraging more people to go that route.
For me, after 7 years, this weekend if my last war. The train parts are a non starter for me. It also appears that the rest of my team feels the same way. I'll check back on next season to see if EA comes to their senses, but as of now, not going down this road further after getting a taste of where its going.
If the train system were completely optional - I would have a completely different feeling about the train systems. I don't know how I can make this any simpler for the creators / developers of the game to understand this: you have made the game way too bloody complicated, and if certain groups of players want a feature added, go ahead and add it, but don't make it complicated or compulsory for all players. There are too many currencies to track, too many complications to go through all for the purpose of designing a city when I am bored.
To the owners of the intellectual property and the developers who create the mechanics of the game: what in the world are you trying to achieve? I just want a simple fun city building game, which was Sim City when I was a child. Initially I was delighted when I found SimCity BuildIt. but why does it have wars, why do I have to do export rows? This is all just too bloody complicated and I am incredibly angry at the treatment players are receiving for playing the game with useless complicated mechanics. I will go play a war game if I want to fight in wars, stop making me participate in wars by means of the milestone and CoM tasks.
I refuse to watch ads, and I will not pay money for anything in the game. I am also spending a lot more time in the game for the simple fact of using up bandwidth and not generating any income.
