There was an app update pushed either today or yesterday.. try updating to it if you haven't and see if that fixes at least most of the issues.
And of course nobody announced the app update.

The update did not fix the problem. It has been reported numerous times over the last few months but not resolved. EA are too busy with useless rubbish. Does anyone read the rubbish they keep forcing us to go through? The stupid stories on events and the diary! I certainly do not!

I was merely just letting you know an app update was released since EA didn't feel the need to announce it.

EA say it has been reported as a bug! What a surprise. I think it is getting worse. I just had to restart 9 consecutive times trying to get the residential buildings list up to add a building. It pixelated every time. Then when I eventually managed to get there and tried to open the CoM assignments it froze which is yet another long reported bug.

I am having the same issue on my iPad too. I have an another account on my phone and I don’t have any issues with that one. So weird
