Can't update game to see Season 17

When I click the Season 16 icon, I see a message in the lower right that says "A new Mayor's Pass Season has started. Update the game to participate!"

I've tried updating, restarting, rebooting and I can't get it to show me Season 17. Is the message wrong and Season 17 isn't really available yet? Or is there some trick I need to do to make the game update?

Thanks for any help. It feels like I'm losing valuable days to make progress on the season!

    Hello @sammarlia 

    Have you tried to manually update SimCity BuildIt since it didn't automatically update for you?

    In order to do this you'll need to be connected to wifi, visit either the App Store or Google Play Store, search "SimCity Buildit" and click "update". You may have to restart your device and stay connected to wifi for a bit in order for the update to take effect, but this should work.

    Ugh! After about 15 tries, my tablet finally told me that it was low on space so I deleted some old apps, etc. and tried again. That seemed to do the trick. Thanks for directing me to the play store. I didn't realize I could update from there.

    Isn't it irritating though how those old apps just stack up, eat our space, and don't delete themselves.😆

    Anyway, you're quite welcome for the info I shared and thanks for sharing with the community about your needing to free up space before you could download the update!
