I use a shortcut to get to a particular section of Mayor's Pass (and Parks / Landscape too, where there are so many options). Go to a building that is related to what you want, store it and then place it back in your city, and your menu is then at the corresponding location.
Saves a lot of time in DC especially, where I want to place lots of buildings from a particular season or theme.
