I appreciate the opportunity to provide some feedback. I liked the idea of adding war in SimCity BuildIt ... but, unfortunately, it has destroyed the club I belong to. The club has now split twice over disagreements on when to war and with whom and who gets to attack and when. There are many challenges with the gameplay ... a summary of which is:
- Clubs become stagnant when players can't come and go ... it is the hallmark of many popular clubs, and it keeps the game moving. Locking people in - and out - leaves people feeling bitter and annoyed.
- While there have been strides to match opponents better, the fact is, people are just not that active. This makes war drag on and ends up with not enough people playing. And since we're locked in a room, we can't advance in the game otherwise.
- War supplies take up A LOT of storage. A lot. while they can be traded, they are super valuable and it would be nice to store them in a separate war chest / storage (similar to the Omega items).
- The duration of war is simply too long, it should only be 24 hours
- There should be a surrender button to end the war early.
- War and Mayor's Contest should not mix. Period. There has not been a decrease in the number of War tasks I've been assigned since the announcements.
- Only the President should be able to initiate war.
- Allow for additional attacks after a city is shielded so that the fighting can continue - but the city under attack doesn't have to repair those hits.
Hoping you'll take this under consideration ... it's been disappointing to see good players from our club delete the game and others leave to join war groups or to start more peaceful clubs. It's completely destroyed the game dynamic and eliminated the fun.
