Wars have become terribly boring. As soon as a team has all players under shield they stop playing. If they are ahead, that is it for the duration. If they are behind, they wait and only come back together at the end of the game to try to take the lead while there is no time left for the tide to turn again. There needs to be some kind of time limit or penalty for staying under for more than 12 hours. Or maybe recover one point of strength for every hour after the first four hours. We need something to keep the war going. Right now it is not a war, but a single battle.

Don't let your team fall behind such that the enemy is still in the lead when all under shield. You are in control of this as a club. If you are too inactive, don't use boosts intelligently, then you let this happen to you. It's no one's fault but your own.
If you play a club that is so much stronger than you, that no matter what you do you still get into this position, then that's another thing. You've just been outclassed. Don't complain. Just accept that you couldn't beat the enemy no matter how hard you tried.
Alternatively, if you are the club with the advantage, again, it is within your full power to KEEP PLAYING ANYWAY, even though if you stopped you would win the war when the timer runs out.
The club I am in behaves in exactly these ways. When we see we are in danger of letting the other club be in a position to win by playing chicken, we ring the alarms, rally our club, and come back hitting with all we can so that we can stop the enemy from being able to hide and win. If you don't do this, then shame on you.
And when we are winning and can hide: we don't. We keep fighting, we rack up points and chests, we win by even more of a margin. The benefit to our enemies is that they get to keep fighting too, and they can earn chests.
It's very unfortunate more clubs don't operate this way. Especially realizing the former: that it's your own damn fault that you lose to clubs that hide as chickens. YOU LET THEM DO IT. So, who should you really be mad at? Look in the mirror...
When I wrote this over a month ago, to that point, i had never encountered a club that had been LOSING and stayed under shield until the end, or nearly the end. Now that I've seen this LOSING CHICKEN strategy a few times, I must say I hate it even more than the WINNING chicken strategy. At least as a club, you can mostly be responsible for avoiding allowing your opponent to get into a winning chicken position. But when you are doing well and you end up being ahead of your opponent and then they chicken on you while they are losing to you.... well that is super super super lame.
I have requested (many times) that shields be put on a 12-hour timer, so you can attack every city at least 3x during a 36-hour war. Again, please consider shield timers. Watching most of a 36-hour war tick by with ZERO action is so beyond super lame, I don't know why EA allows for people to hate their game. I guess because we all still play it. Perhaps it's time to vote with our feet and leave the game...

Hi MT...it’s great to see you! After seeing some of what you’ve seen I have quickly left my 18 hour proposal and am quickly running your direction, in fact I think I ran past you 🙂 - if you get a chance it’s in the support section...a little complicated but I think it would work for most competitors. Let me know what you think, I value your opinion.
Your post is enlightening if folks just read it, I don’t think these teams recognize just how much damage they’ve done. The mayor was talking about wanting to win the purple coins, as you know if you fight you will receive some as you repair your city...I’ve received 6 tonight, more reason to show up and play. Unfortunately I think you are dead on target with your assessment, I’ve heard from some very positive folks who have shared the same sentiment, it’s really sad.

You don't have to agree, but I find you funny pinn. You agree with what mt says. Here Is how we roll. We may not get many points cause we crushed this team. Few teams Continue after this. Some players do, but not the team. Purple still worth more to me, lol
Do what it takes to win. Sorry if ya don't like it, like mt says, it is your own fault if the other team gets bubbled in the lead. Won't be any 12k boxes this war.
May be giving too much away with this shot though, lol
