Forum Discussion
Hi @spajtakus ,
Welcome to the forums. 🥳
Thanks for taking the time to put this feedback together and sharing it with us here. You are absolutely right, if you don’t share your thoughts how can we learn about them? 😊 It’s important for us to know how you feel about the way we communicate on the forums and I’d like to take the opportunity to reply as I’m sure the points you’ve mentioned are shared by many other Mayors.
On Answers HQ we have a few forum Community Managers monitoring the SimCity BuildIt boards like myself, @EA_Mai , @EA_Arrenai and @EA_Craig. This is a forum and the main communication comes from you, the players. This is your space to chat, discuss the game, share tips and help each other (see here for more on that). We are always around listening to the feedback and while we are unable to reply to every post, we do review what’s shared here and relay concerns up so please do keep it coming. 😊
We’ve put together a “SimCity BuildIt – Game Updates” to house future game updates. We’ll continue to create new threads as game updates release and leave a link to in the Game Updates thread so you can always find it and stay updated. Keep an eye on this thread for future game updates and patches.
The new Shield Buster Disaster is coming on the 24th of September. When you have an opportunity to play and experience it, it would be great to hear how you’ve found the Club Wars experience. Please feel free to create a specific thread for this so we can pass the feedback onto the team.
With regards to cheating, fair play is definitely important to us. We want to create a fair and fun environment for players so you can have the best experience and enjoy the game to its fullest. You can help flag players to us if you suspect cheating in-game by following the steps under this spoiler tag.

Hi @EA_Lanna
Thank you for taking time and replying to my post.
I do understand that you are not able to reply to all the posts.
However, you have your Twitter and FB accounts to keep players updated and both seem to be "dead", and even when there is something posted, it's very generic.
It would be great to know that someone is actually taking responsibility for social media and making this place for players to gain news.
In regards to cheating, the word in the clubs is that developers managed to stop that "hacking program that all cheaters using" with the last update.
That would be fantastic news for the players. Let's just hope that they will not find a way around it.
I'm guessing that game cheating/hacking as a policy, is like a taboo subject.
We all know it exists but it's very rare that devs or CM's mention about it. I think it's the wrong way to tackle this problem.
It's better when you admit it's a big problem and you are trying to find a way to stop it rather than avoid the subject.
It only creates an atmosphere where we, players, think that nothing is being done about it.
Like with that last update. If you managed to put a stop or at least slowdown cheaters for a while, it's something you should be loud about.
Let's be fair, people who cheat, don't spend real money on the game so you are not losing profit.
In regards to a new "Sheild buster", can we get a sneak peak on how will it work?
I know that players have been asking for devs to put that in-game but a lot of those players are not fighting constantly against cheating clubs.
I'm really hoping that the way it will work, a player will have to rebuild under the shield for the opponents to be able to destroy that shield.
If you go under the shield and will not rebuild then opponents shouldn't be able to take that down...I hope.
Keep the good work and keep us updated, please.

hello @spajtakus i respectfully disagree on cheaters dont spend real money. i tend to think that they do because some tasks at com can be bought in order to complete task even if it cost approx $10 to $17 for each material machine part or other items. it would be expensive with total of approx $200 to $450 for a person who has good job or is rich. that's all have good day.
- 6 years ago@latte7girl Cheaters don't have to spend real money because they have unlimited resources. That includes simoleons and green sim cash.
