Lots of simcash to complete assignments quickly, but getting to the top fast doesn't guarentee you the top spot.  If you can complete all the assignments without using simcash it just take most of the week to get there.  Getting them done quickly just allows more time to do other things.

Unless, of course, they just hacked their way to the top, which is another possibility, but the same principle applies, the number of assignments is the number of assignments.....  Unless, of course, if they hacked the number of assignments, but I'm fairly certain their server-side hacking prevention should catch that one.

Pretty incredible I admit and definitely would require a CC and luck. Most of the quick starts are from Asian markets I think the start time is more favorable for them. Ive seen this often In my leagues, every week after the first in fact, not quite this bad but high 40s & 50s after 8-10 hrs. They often top out and the winner still comes down to the luck involved in getting the best assignments.

The inescapable fact is this Contest is flawed in many ways and no fix seems to be in sight. While I know Credit Card gamers will always have an advantage, I saw one guy post that he spends $20 a week on this game (does he realize that is about $1,500 of annual income? Really for this game?) and I understand EA wants to keep these people happy but hey, I watch your ads give me a chance.

I go back to my original question on your thread.  Why do you let a game get you mad like that?  It's just a game.  

I think EA has lost sight of want SimCity always was, not a competition, there are plenty of other games if you want to pit yourself against other gamers, but a community that shared ideas on how to improve your city. You pitted yourself, not against each other but against the programmers and the game mechanics to build the best city in your mind, there was never a right or wrong way just your way of building your city.

At first I was excited about the contest not for the contests sake as much, as for the chance to put new buildings in my city. Since the Epic Projects penalize you for building too many 1pt. Buildings it gets pretty boring building the same buildings over and over, but that dream has ended and I am left to wonder if the game I once enjoyed is gone forever.

It wouldn't be so bad if the items required for fulfillment were in relation to the point structure of the building.  1pt building required 1 item, 2pt 3 items, 3pt 5 items, but since it starts out requiring 1 item, then moves its way to requiring 5 items even on 1pt buildings.  That's where it's kinda screwy.
