Everytime I have thought of spending real money on the game, something or other has prevented me from doing so. Now I know why. They are trying to change the game into a social experiment on stress. I had seen  a similar pattern in another game called township, quit that one for good. I am glad I only used this game to relieve stress. Others should do the same.
