OMG Toby. These forums are to help inform other players and get notice by devs, since reporting issues doesn't always work. Being proud on the number of comments is ridiculous when most are worded attacks, you think people are going to waste their time reading through all the BS?
You continue your bashing or peacocking instead of actually debating things. I have learned that the person that makes the most accusations usually has those issues with what the claims about others tend to be, that is in regards to others' life or friends.
While I agree in part with bettysadog in that it takes money to make money, just like age doesn't imply maturity neither does a person's level imply knowledge. I started following this post because I was feeling the same way with regards to mayor contest, even though the top winner everytime wasn't Asian. But looking back you were complaining about a low league, I sure hope you have moved into megopolis by now.
Also I will admit my later posts had nothing to do with mayor leagues but a person's city setup. That being said I realize a person has many options for how they want to build their city, looks, population, or having one of every specialization building. My strategy is for population so I look at only having Omega service buildings as they offer 100 units with the smallest land use. Which goes to my earlier comment that the empire state building is a waste, I prefer the Washington monument as it offers the greatest affect range, for the best increase in %, and only uses 2x2 tiles.
SomeSimGuy from the first page I think is one of the better comments in this whole post, but you will disagree and stay closed minded. Fine, read a reply I received from staff when I asked them to look into a possible cheater. And FYI I had an assignment once that was 3240 points for making 18 of something (don't remember what) maybe it was TVs.

Hello Mayor, thanks for contacting us.
All participating players in the Contest of Mayors are offered a very similar mixture of both high- and regular-value Plumbob Points assignments. This ensures there’s a good variety of assignments to pick and choose from, depending on individual preferences or strategy.
Each different type of assignment that is offered to each mayor during each Contest (e.g. production in factories or commercial buildings; upgrading residential zones; collecting Keys etc.) has a slightly randomised nature. Otherwise, if the list of available assignments for each contest were the same for all mayors it could get posted online as each contest started, and give some mayors an unfair strategical advantage - as they’d know exactly which assignments would be coming up and plan accordingly.
There are no items or building upgrades in the game that have exactly the same complexity values, so there may be a slight variance in the Plumbob Point rewards for each assignment. For example: 'Corn' production takes 54 minutes yet 'Flour' takes only 27 minutes (in addition to differing amounts of ingredients needed) so to give the same Plumbob Point reward for each would be unfair.
Although this may result in slight fluctuations to the potential Plumbob Points each mayor could earn each week, the maximum potential Plumbob Points available are still well within the same range and any slight differences will rarely affect a chance of promotion or prize at the end of each contest. Ultimately, as long as you are active in the Contests and are completing the maximum Plumbob Point assignments available to you, there is always a strong chance to obtain the highest prizes and positions in the leaderboards.
Each time you complete, fail or cancel an assignment a new one is added in its place, so make sure to check the new ones regularly so as not to miss out on any possible high-value Plumbob Point chances!
Don't forget to use your Golden Tickets too, Mayor, it is a great chance to earn more Plumbob Points in cases when you ran out of Assignments available to you during a contest.
I'll be sure to forward your concerns on to the design team and we’ll continue to monitor the equality of the assignments too. Thanks for letting us know about your experiences, and please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
