deleting friends

Your friend list is loaded from Facebook, and there's not a distinction between active or inactive players when doing so. All your Facebook friends that have played the game are added to your friend list.

I wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately, it's not possible to remove these friends. 

Are you at a level where you can join a Club? You could talk to your friends and create a Club with the active ones. 🙂

none of my friends in game are facebook friends of mine.

I keep things separate and chose to not let EA have access to my facebook friends and my account info.

Remove your friend that plays from FaveBook.
