Disappointed for SIM CITY buildit.

I find this game very far from the original SIM game and dramatically incomplete.

There are many flaws:

1) The purchase of goods, through the HQ of Global Trade, is too slow: you do not have time to transfer to another city, that the item you are looking for is already sold !!! I find it very stupid that, in the on-line shopping era, you should transfer to another city to buy the products. You should be able to buy directly from the HQ Global Trade window. Maybe waiting for some time (ex. 5-10 min.), reducible with SIM CASH.

2) The HQ Global Trade window should be larger, to show more products, not sliding (that increase the time to check and search items), automatically updated every 30 sec. (not touching screen) and allow the purchase directly online, by selecting items directly in the window ... and not to waste time to reach other cities.

3) You should make it possible to demand the products you need and not waste hours searching in the HQ of Global Trade around the world. An idiocy. If I need an item I should be able to express my demand for goods. This demand can be satisfied by the offer of other players, with their price: a real trade centre.

4) It lacks the ability to exchange items with other items (barter). Maybe, for each exchange, you could pay a small fee in SIMOLEONS.

5) It lacks an internal messaging service that connects players. By doing so you can make the game more interesting by talking to other people in the world.

6) Is it possible that a factory with Nano - Technologies does not reduce the production time? The production times should be, at most, half !!!

    Could you make SimCity BuildIt?

    No, obviously.

But, in my opinion, its up to developers to transform the complants into suggestions in order to improve this game.

I don't think that what I ask is so impossible to put into practice.

What do You think about ?

I agree with #1, although I'm not sure if this is an intentional move to ensure people aren't just buying up everything in their HQ window instantly.  Think about it -- I could never lose money if I did that, because any items I bought I could resell at the same maximum price, and make a profit on anything else that wasn't at maximum price.  Get a handful of people hoarding goods like that, and all of a sudden items are even harder to find than before.  Plus you're still fighting against people with a faster connection than yours. Plus, with the current method, you have a chance to see the user's other items that aren't being specifically advertised.

The first part of #2 would be nice (more items, no scrolling) but if I had to guess at a reason why it is the way it is... maybe because of the varying resolutions of mobile devices out there.  More items on a tablet might be easier than more items on a cheaper low resolution phone.

#3 would be interesting, but wouldn't that just result in your demand for dozer parts getting lost in hundreds of thousands of demands for dozer parts? 🙂

I could personally do without #4. It seems like something that might be more useful AFTER they've really stepped up on the social capabilities of the game (your #5 and beyond).  Once they've added some sort of chat system and other useful inter-city features, trade agreements would be a nice feature.

#6 - I was thinking the same thing, but with less of a decrease in time.  You're paying more than double the cost of the next factory down for no additional slots -- just a removal of any pollution.  It's nice to have no pollution because you can put RZ's closer to the factories, but the next factory down is only 6x6 pollution, and for a 150% bump in price I would have like to see something like a 10% to 20% reduction in build times.  More than that I think would be too much.

Anyway, those are my thoughts, for what it's worth. (hint: nothing. It's worth nothing.)
    🙂

You have hit the nail on the head and Eckel everything that I have been feeling too! The trade center is ridiculously slow, and I have had less than a 1% success rate to get anything I want because by the time the new city loads up, the item is already sold.  It is no fun spending an hour or two scouring the trade but I could be enjoying the game and building and creating more. This game has lost my interest because of the slow trades, and it seems like it knows what I need and makes it impossible to find that  particular product. I would even be willing to pay for extra money to get some parts… But the prices to buy our absolutely ridiculous… And the conversions make up salute Lee no sense, it would literally cost thousands of dollars in real cash  to build up a city. They should take a line from the candy crush games… And offer great incentives for one or two dollars each. They could still make their millions.

I am not at all interested in the chat feature with other players… As I am in building my city the way I wanted to look. I know the intent is to m ake money from this game, however for myself and most others when you make the game so difficult to program … We will not stay and pay cash for more misery… We will move onto another game. It is a fine line between giving the customer what they want and making some money as well. It would be nice if the developers actually do read these comments and think about making some improvements to make the game more enjoyable and playable.

The expansions such as the factories and even the stores, are aching ridiculously outdated and do not match any logical criteria. If you're going to upgrade to a mega factory… It should produce the products much faster and not just reduce a pollution footprint.

Same for the stores… When you are paying double the price to do an upgrade… You should get more than simply a 10% reduction in time. I would recommend at least a 20% increase in production… And an automatic slot Increase.

Just my thoughts… I love all of the SimCity games, and have just about every single one from the very beginning. But this one, is so obviously a money grab that the fun has been taken away. If improvements are not made I will Be moving on to another game.

Slow, making cash is painful, did I mention slow? Boring. By level 13 I have many homes upgraded and little cash. I was selling on the market in addition to upgrading. My happiness was in the high 90s.

Expensive. Getting police, fire and health was stupid expensive for the speed of the income and upgrade eligibility made worse by the terribly long build times of the materials and goods.

    Bored.... Broke.... Unfulfilled.

Sounds to me as though you're leveling too quickly. If you pace yourself slower so that you take time to accumulate simoleons before moving to the next level, you'll have money to cover expenses as they arrive. This isn't a game you'll "beat" in several hours or even several days. You could be playing this daily for several months and still be trying to save money or keys for certain items, or special items for expansions.  That may or may not be the kind of game you enjoy.

  • I had the game installed for several weeks and deleted it without hesitation from my mobile device. I think I reached level 35 or something.

Well yes, the game is free to download and has also nice graphics etc. but it is also  a never ending circle of buying and selling nonsense like melons, shovels, donuts and cakes for every single square for which you have to wait for endless hours.

I never felt my life time so wasted.

In the past I bought and played any PC Version since SimCity 2000 because of its creative aspects in (urban development und planing.

I think something went quite wrong in the development of that game but I also think that a lots of people are still playing it because it is free to dowonload.
