Totally agree with getting rid of cheaters. But when innocent players get caught in the crossfire. And EA customer support does nothing to help them. Then there is a problem.
When it happened to me I didn’t think anything of it. I knew I would open a ticket and get my issue resolved . But instead I just got accused of cheating, breaking rules of section 6 and modifying my city . Whatever that means.
Nothing is clarified, no real details are shared. And by the looks of it nobody actually reviews your account. They push lies down ur throat and you just have to take it. No other resources, nobody else to write to. Just cookie cutter email replies . I got all the same emails OP posted. And searching on Reddit many have gotten same emails.
if it hadnt happened to me, I would have not believed it . I would have thought to myself he probably got caught and is now being salty about it. And yet here i am. So if it happened to me, it’s happened to many and can happen to you.
it’s shameful the way EA for SCBI handles customer support.
Wow! I am sorry for your loss! I have no answers. Mistakes can be made on both sides I suppose. What do you think is the answer?
From what I have heard, and info I have dug up, EA is making an effort to rid the game of unscrupulous behavior. This us a good thing, and shows effort in their part.
Were you on a team that SOMEONE on your team was involved in cheating? The team's we have encountered are flagrant about it. Example: Being a fairly young team, having no cards to speak of, or very low level cards, and not many of those. They are heavy on Mags and maybe MMs or Mellow Bello’s. Then they have all the resources to to play those two cards 100 to 400 times. Usually the whole team appears to be involved. 24 or 25 players, level 22 to 45, with cities just thrown together, JP's, and Shield busters galore. They are fast and vicious. From the more than the few cheating teams we have played, our team’s cooperation and dedication to each other is useless. Playing games like this is no fun. If you Google “Sim City Cheats”, you will find a list of codes that I THINK are developer codes originally used by EA in development. Dusgruntled employees hacks? I don't know the answers. It is incomprehensible for me to understand what kind of fun cheating is,
Do you suppose someone on your team was a cheater, and you were unaware?
What happened to you exactly?
I understand the form letters. When we report a team we get a form letter back explaining they play too, and the cheaters will be investigated. Please be patient. Then the email goes on to say due to privacy considerations, no conclusions can be released.
This leaves us in a conundrum. Hearing another side of this story is definitely “food for thought “ I am guessing to have a thoughtful cooperative voice in the forums will be good for all. EA, teams who have been accused of cheating, and teams that are fed up with and report cheaters.
Please let's continue this conversation. It may prove beneficial to all.

The answer would be have EA customer support have knowledge about the game, know about the bugs in their anti cheat mechanism and be up to date with the updates and features. And actually review your account and give you clear answers on why you were banished.
From what I’ve gathered dealing with tickets is. The other side doesn't actually have knowledge about the game. They are just there to copy paste and reply to new entries. I have sent screenshots and talking about the specific additions to the game that may have triggered the anti cheat . But it just gets ignored completely and I receive the same response everyone else gets.
No one in my club is cheating, we’re a group of friendly members, active and everyone is always willing to help. Our focus is more about CoM then it is war. My account is within the lowest lvl members sitting at lvl37, my inventory was at only 200. Maybe have won 3 or 4 mega first places in 2 years. And my only regional city is in disarray since I don’t have the resources to keep the population happy. My war cards are weak and average 7-10k points per war if I push for it. I must be the worst cheater gaming has ever seen!
Anyway this is what I suspect. Recently the game without warning added CoM points on City Journal Assignments, those clip board bubbles that show up in your city. After completing and discovering this feature, I completed 3 more which gave me enough points to snag first place. As soon as the contest ended I was banished.
I’ve sent this information to customer support, since it’s the only thing I can think of that would have flagged me. But as I’ve mentioned before. It’s ignored and I get the same reply . “i MAY have broken a rule in Section 6” and if I push for more details they reply with your city was modified and can’t be returned to its normal status. If this was the reason it would be very easy to see if they actually reviewed my account.
Now I’m stranded on cheaters island patiently waiting to see if I get any real answers and help before I delete the game completely.

This was a thoughtful account of what happened to you. Was it just you who was kicked to the curb? Or your whole team? I'm sorry, I hope EA hears you. I would be beyond frustrated to lose my city and my team. Quitting would leave a whole in my life! Keep writing. Keep explaining. Maybe EA will listen. I hope so.
My whole team (24 of us) are now on a campaign to help EA rid itself of cheaters. We do know what to look for, and only once have we accused a whole team. I believe the cheaters are a few per team, but of course that can vary. Do you still have your city? Is your team still there?
I hope for a swift resolution for you.

I was the only one kicked . My club is still in tact. My city wasn’t effected in any way. Only put on cheaters server. I’ve opened 4 tickets already only 2 have responded with the generic responses I mentioned in my earlier post. I’ve given up on tickets. I was a honest paying customer, I should not have to be going out of my way to prove my innocence when it should be an easy fix. If I ever do get a follow up email I’ll see where I go from there. But as for now I’ll leave it sit for a while before I delete it.
I have no issue with people reporting suspected cheaters. As long as EA does real reviews and ban actual cheaters. And not have people fall victims just because someone was salty about losing to them. All reports should be welcomed. But proper handling of these reports needs to be a must in any game. Especially if you’re charging customers real money to help with their progress
very disappointed in EA SCBI customer service. The community is great tho. Thanks for your messages and support.
