facebook disabling embedded browser login

Hello,

There was this Facebook blog post here that said they are no longer accepting android embedded browsers for security reasons. The message says you may be able to continue by updating the app so if you have an update available that might be able to fix it. Otherwise I would contact the support team.

You can contact the support team by going to settings, then help, then contact us. This will take you to the support site where you can explain your issue in greater detail. You will likely need your player ID which you can find by going to settings, then help, and your player ID will be at the bottom.

Hopefully they can get this sorted out.

EA has already said it is Facebook issue and nothing we can do. No update available.

This is unacceptable, EA needs to update game to not trigger this block.

If the SimCity Buildit Support Team cannot do anything about this issue, have you tried contacting facebook’s support team to try and fix it. Maybe they can offer some troubleshooting steps to help you get logged in.

Yes, they put it back on game creators, said they were given ample notice (as the blog indicates) to update.

I won't be spending any more money on this game. Not that EA cares about one person. I am not going to risk losing my game and all the money I have put into it. Fix this issue.

I'm very sorry to see that you are unable to log into SimCity BuildIt on your Kindle. I do wish we had more Kindle users in the BuildIt forum who might be able to help.

I have taken the the time to read some related news articles, (none of which have offered a solution - thus far), and will continue to do so. If I do see a solution posted in or on a news article, blog, or fan page, I will post the information here.

For now, if you have another mobile device and your city is linked to Facebook, you could play on that...Just a suggestion.

Have you tried installing a different browser like Chrome and setting that as the default browser. There is this website here which says that after setting the default browser to either chrome or Firefox and entering their Facebook credentials they were able to login again! Hopefully it will work for you too.

Since when can one play an android game on chrome browser? Not until windows 11 at least. 

I do not have another device, my phone is too old and not enough memory. Oh well easy come easy go. There are better games anyway. Thanks.
