I'm not sure why I can't find any reference to this so far --
But, one of the best improvements you guys could give the model for GTHQ is to eliminate the price ceilings on items. ANYONE who has taken ANY economics would tell you price celings cause shortages in the market.
This is why the material selection gets so skewed (like for doughnuts) because you just can't earn enough money selling nails and planks, even though they are in incredibly high demand most of the time. And, if you are in the position of really needing a nail or plank but your production que is full of cement or glue you have to wait a whole day to acquire it because it so rarely comes up in the market.
Enabling the mayor to set the price (without limit), especially on these 'intermediate' items would greatly balance out the market. That is the 'invisible hand' at work.
PLEASE -- remove price ceilings!
