There is nothing wrong with using game mechanics to your advantage. I find it interesting that players get upset about others using the bulldoze method, calling it cheating. But it seems that it is perfectly acceptable to halt all new residential construction in order to stop gaining XP. One reason to do so is that they are staying at a level to limit GTHQ offerings. That makes it easier to filter the things they want to buy low and sell high. Guess what folks that is a game mechanic exploit just like bulldozing, just not as efficient.
I am also sick of the "do not make doughnuts" propaganda. The issue is not that players make and sell doughnuts, or any other item, it is that they are listing it on the global exchange. Most players make doughnuts so that Daniel will buy them for big money. They have no expectation that other players will buy them. So they should just not list them as a global sale and then we will all be spared the endless amount of doughnuts on the market. As for Vu items, I for one am glad there are a bunch of them. Given the relatively short time the game has been in existence many players are not actively using Vu items yet, but I am. That most certainly will change over time and the items will likely be in high demand and short supply. Also, a lot players list them like doughnuts so that Daniel will buy them.
Using Daniel to sell goods is another way to use game mechanics to the player advantage. It is not cheating. Downloading a hack to change the game data is cheating. Bulldozing, halting advancement to farm the market, and selling high to Daniel are just using what the game is giving us. If EA does not want that to happen they will patch it, otherwise it is not cheating so please stop saying it is. This is a normal cycle for an online game, there is nothing going on that makes this game any different than any other game.
