Global Trade BUG
I am having a major issue with global trade hq. Tech support is aware of it as I have sent a request in (quit laughing!) and posted this on Facebook. Others are also having the same problem as there are responses to the posting. It seems to have developed after the contest of mayors game was introduced and I updated.
Heres the issue....
I enter Global Trade Headquarters (gthq). City 'A' is selling an item, let's say 5 metal. I select city A metal and travel there to buy it. I get there and buy/don't buy (it doesn't matter). There is also 4 wood, 3 minerals and 2 microwaves in city A. Let's say I don't buy anything and return to gthq by clicking on the city's trade building....
I now click on city 'B' as they have 3 watermelons for sale.. I now am in city B. The 3 watermelons are SOLD. Can't complain, Luck of the draw, right? Wrong. City A's items are there too! This happens over and over. I can prove it. I have multiple screen shots.
I've included the screen shots below as they had weird pricing, but I can recreate this over and over. So can others.
My observations about the bug;
the bug doesn't matter if city A has 1 or 10 items although it seems to happen with fewer items for sale.
It doesn't necessarily happen on the first time you go in to gthq and select a city, but will most definitely happen the second city,
Which means the 3rd city you visit will duplicate the previous city's items then.
It starts over again after it has duplicated, a 'reset' of the cities, or leave and return to gthq.
This is really frustrating because if you are trying to maximize the amount of cities you visit in the 30 seconds, you really only get 4-5 cities visited in that time before a reset. If half my cities display 'sold' on the product I want (ALWAYS IS) and then show me the same items I saw in the previous city, then I'm wasting half my time. Not to mention, I'll never get my item if it duplicates on that city. That item is the only new item seen and it's sold. Always!!!
So if my item pops up in the gthq, I cannot click on it if I didn't duplicate on the previous city because it most assuredly will duplicate now and be sold. If I try to go into another city to duplicate and then into the city that has my item, usually the gthq resets on its own because the 30 seconds have expired. Also consider this, what else have I missed buying from that city that isn't showing up because duplicates show? There is never any additional items. It's always the Sold item and the previous city's items.
Im not new to this. I've been playing over a year on my IPAD. I am level 51, $2.5mil, 1.3 mil people, totally expanded everything. I'm not an idiot as I am an ex-programmer (not gaming). EA has a major problem here. FIX The Problem EA!!
There are others, such as I keep seeing the same cities in gthq over and over. Yes I get some new ones, but I have no Facebook friend or gamecenter friends. I consistently see the same cities pop up. I can't believe with the millions of players I would see the same city once in 1000? The odds are massive. Or, I seem to get offered stuff I don't need. If I don't need cheese fries, they're all over the gthq. As soon as something requires fries to upgrade or get a prize, not 1 can be found. I'm talking for days. Really? I could go on. I realize it's a game, but I refuse to keep playing til the bug has been fixed. Your loss EA.. I'll keep checking in from time to time.

This bug was reported a few weeks back. I don't remember if it was before or after the Mayor's contest update. In that message he explained that it's only like then when you first go to the city and the screen opens to their inventory, but if you swipe off their inventory and open it again it shows the correct inventory.
I do not believe it happens on all devices as I have yet to be able to duplicate it on my Droid Ultra. Hopefully EA is working on it for you. I just thought I'd offer what I knew about it, which isn't much.
I'm wondering if this could be the difference between Android and Apple products? Since Android uses Java and Apple uses Objective-C. They functionally have two completely different versions of the same program to cover all devices. One could be buggy while the other is not.
