"would totally defeat the purpose of the game, which is to get people to spend real money."
This is precisely the problem with freemium games. People used to create great games that the public was willing to pay for. I used to put endless quarters into arcade games and paid near 100 dollars for some PC or console games. I would be willing to pay to play this game too, but not in its current condition of endless frustration. I don't understand why I would pay cash to "upgrade" a picture of a building.
Every day since the Airport I have wanted to remove this game but sadly I keep hoping it will get better. I suck at rejection.
EA ruined Simpsons and DungeonKeeper and probably every other freemium offering the same way. Great games butchered into psychological torture mechanisms. I would gladly pay a subscription fee to play these games as they were originally imagined by the designer before the freemium aspect was hacked on.
I imagine most of the revenue is coming from kids too young to know they are being BULLIED.
