- Anonymous10 years agoI have to agree with others here. What was already a tremendously frustrating experience has now gone from bad to worse with the 30-second refresh rate. Previously, when one failed to find the item one was looking for (which was nearly always), one could close the market and reopen it to refresh immediately to see a new group of randomly selected items. Now one must wait 30 seconds between refreshes, further reducing one's already slim chances of finding the item one needs.
Really, the market experience would be improved tremendously simply by giving us filters to specify the items were looking for. - Anonymous10 years agoI really hope they get this fixed soon. It's a fun game but this global market hq makes me pull my hair out. Before the update, at least I could force a refresh as often as I'd like if I couldn't get the popular item, but now that I'm forced to wait 30 seconds to see the same random items as everyone else. The market is not useful like this. Add on top of that the fact that to make the items myself requires multiple items from the same store that can't be made in parallel. I could live with the serial nature of manufacturing items if I could search through the market or at least guarantee that the items I'm looking at are available for those 30 seconds. Also more variety would be nice. Stop showing 10 wood items at a time. Maybe one of each type should be visible to at least have a chance on each refresh of the market?
- Anonymous10 years agoThe new Global Trade is ruined. It was frustrating before, but it was also fun, in a manic way. Almost a mini-game. The new system is slow, boring, and less fruitful. Not to mention broken. I've heard others complain of it crashing the app. For me, half the time when I go in it shows what's for sale for a split second, then changes to say nothing's for sale. I close and reopen but it does the same thing shows until the 30 seconds are up. Then, if I'm lucky, I'll get one shot at buying something before it locks me out.
While I'm not uninstalling, I'm switching to a different game in hopes that EA fixes this. - Anonymous10 years ago
I get to wait 30 seconds between refreshes ... and then get to see the same six sets of Watches being sold by the same six cities, over and over and over again.
I've got the screenshots if needed.
Let's see ... wait longer between refreshes ... get the same items over and over ... and still get beaten to the punch by some 12 y/o with an iphone 6 and guitar hero reflexes ...great work EA
- Anonymous10 years agoThis 30 second timer, in my opinion, has killed it. Such a shame as it was a fun and adfictive game. Now it causes more stress than fun.

What people fail to see is that it was all the crying and complaining that forced EA to make this update. The trade HQ was a little frustrating but with good tactics was more than usable. But because of all the complaining its now genuinely made it unusable. If i had a spare 5-10 mins id pop on the buy/sell items but now I dont bother as its not enough time to do anything with the 30 second updates, especially when 27 of 30 items are watches!!
I know its human nature to complain but everyone should serious think if the problem is ACTUALLY as bad as they think it is. NOW its taken a fun experience and made it so much worse that a lot of users will leave im sure.
Seems the Trade Depot doesnt always notify of sales either but thats not a big issue at all.
Just for the record the rest of the update seems good.

MIght as well turn the game off, its garbage now! Way to go EA you know how to ruin games. How about making the market into categories so you can choose what you are looking for? I think that would make it easier and a competitive market.
- Anonymous10 years agoI'm fairly new to BuildIt and I was seriously considering dropping the game before I unlocked the GTHQ as there was so much time with no gameplay. One I got GTHQ the gameplay and fun increased dramatically, as did my city's expansion. The 30 sec timer has, as noted by many, made the GTHQ and thus the game almost unusable. I doubt EA is doing this intentionally to generate more money. It's well known that the best way to profit in freemium games is player engagement time and longevity. Good luck in fixing this EA, I'll might cruise back this way next patch.

what good is a 30 second refresh when it just refreshes with the same old rocks, twigs and nonsense from the same cities over and over.
It sounds like a vacuum when I turn the game on now because it sux so much.
PLEASE fix this and fire whoever thought this was a good idea.
Unless your plan is to * everyone off and have them drop the game so you can have a good reason to stop the game.
- Anonymous10 years agoI have a major recommendation to everyone who plays this game put gets totally infuriated with the market place and that is only rate the game 1 star. I found out a long time ago companies only start listening to problems when they start getting bad marks in the play store. Although personally I think the market place intentionally sucks so that it forces people to spend real money on the game. If EA got their act together though and sorted it out they could generate the lost revenue by getting sponsored, then they would get paid each time someone used trade.
