- Anonymous11 years agoThere no need to build a city. The market took my time away already.

I don't care how many times this has been brought up. There is no reason why we have to spend so much time trying to buy something that we need on the Global Trade HQ. You either have to be a bot, or extremely lucky after 20+ tries to get anything that isn't metal or wood, and that's because it seems like things are taken mere milliseconds after you see the posting.
To say the trade is just fast-paced or you have to get there first is a lazy response. I don't think most of us would even complain as much if the game servers updated the postings as fast as they're gone. In the time it takes to load someone's city (which I don't care to see half the time) the item is already gone. FIX THIS!!!
And while you're at it, add a search tool and categories/filters. Without it this joke of an auction house is just a sloppy, lazy attempt at making an economy.
- Anonymous11 years agoThey could at least make a search for the item youre looking for. I feel your pain. It's really aggravating trying to buy items in global that you need.
- Anonymous11 years agoAmen to that..everything movingtarg said!!
You can try shopping via other city's trade HQs, it does work for me very well. I never find anything thru my own HQ for some reason ☹️ surfing thru others eliminates a couple screen taps and city renderings so it is faster and I always find my items that way.
But this current trade system IS pretty painful nonetheless! You gotta be an addict like me to find enjoyment in this game lol
CJ - Anonymous11 years agoPlease do something to make global trade better. One idea I have is to add a search for the item you're looking for. That would make things so much easier. I'm sitting here wasting so much time refreshing the trade window until I see an item im looking for then when I tap on it, it's sold already. No matter how fast I try to be, it's gone already. There isn't much you can do about that, but I'm pretty sure an item search would help out a lot. Trying to buy something like planks, nails, shovels, and hammers is nearly impossible and I'm spending hours trying to find these items. When I finally do see a listing for that item and go to buy it, it's sold already. This is really frustrating.
- Anonymous11 years agoAt least 95% of the time (probly actually higher) when I tap on something to buy it it is already gone. This is so beyond frustrating I don't have the words to describe. Pretty much the only way to get something's my I'm looking for is to just randomly tap items to go to the players trade depot and look at what else they have for sale. This takes so long to accomplish.... The concept of trade is a great idea but it is seriously flawed the way yall have executed it. You have got to add the ability to filter it or something...
On another note every time I tap the trade HQ I see this one player every time. He's got at least 2 items up all the time. His trade depot is constantly selling out and he is constantly restocking it. He must be making loads of cash. So why is it that when I try to sell some of the same items they sit there for 2 or 3 days until the game buys them from me? Point being the entire trade system is severely broken and desperately needs to be fixed!! - Anonymous11 years ago
I agree completely.
A search or filter looking for specific item would be excellant.
Just seeing the people I am friends with on googleplay would be a bonus then atleast I would have a chance to do some trading.
Having spend some considerable time trying to buy an item on Global Trade, I thought I would help the developers of the game by offering a job description for a Global Trade designer. I would encourage them to issue this job description as soon as possible. Judging by the number of complaints about Global Trade, I am sure there will be a large candidate base from which to find the person with the abilities and skills laid out in the job description below.
- The designer will need to understand the requirements of the game players (whom after all are the reason game developers exist), not just the needs and aspirations of the developers and their sponsors.
- The successful applicant will be able to introduce a search facility so that a game player can find a particular product.
- Be able to design a filter system to refine more general searches so that the game player does not have to look through screen after screen of items to find a particular item.
- Design a constraint system so that items sold are no longer present on the Global Trade database.
- Help provide facilities to enable game players who have had items on the Global Trade database for some time, rise up the list, and so promote their unsold products.
- The candidate will demonstrate ways in which game players will not loose the unsold products to the ether.
I hope the developers of SimCity BuildIt, an otherwise great game, will find a designer to meet their needs, the needs of the sponsors, and of course the game players themselves.

I've faced many global trade problems being reported here, and I'm also very tired of this. I promised myself to not spend a penny anymore with the game until the trade center starts to work in a acceptable way.
Here are the problems and how I think it could be resolved:- Difficulty to find items: Let the people search for stuffs, rather than just displaying random useless things.
- Difficulty to buy items: this happens mainly when I'm using my mobile carrier connection. I get inside the user's storage, and get the message that the item have been already sold. Why the hell I have to enter into someone's city to buy their things? It would be a lot easier if I could just buy things by clicking them into the trade center. If miss-clicking would be a problem, just prompt an confirmation message and them is all good. Also... Why you guys don't use the full screen space for this? Nobody need to see its own city on the background while buying stuffs... We need a decent user interface for this, not a simple box filled with random things.
- Trading with friends: it would be very useful if friends had some easier way to trade stuffs. Something like, I could send items for a friend of mine for some price, and my friend would be prompted to accept the trade or reject. As simple as this.
- The option to buy (passive purchase) things, rather than only sell things: I mean, what if I could put into my storage that I'd like to buy something by some determined price (or range of prices), and people interested in selling things could also actively sell things than just passively sell things by putting them into the storage and praying for the right people to see it?
- Economy: why all things have prices fixed inside some range? Why to not let the economy be set free by the law of supply and demand? I've seen things becoming rare inside the game, and had their prices stuck into its upper limit. Why this? People are losing opportunities!
I feel like EA games had failed into turning Sim City a multiplayer game by not giving the proper attention to the most important connection point between players: the open market!

Couldn't agree more, please add some type of search or filter. It is impossible to find things not disaster items have been unlocked.
