There will never be a search or filter for the GTHQ. Its not in EA's interest. It's commercially profitable for them to keep the GTHQ "unusable". Because we can't easily (or at all) buy what we need, we'll either have to wait patiently or use sim cash to 'accelerate' production... EA wants us to use sim cash. This is fine given that they're in the business of making money. This is what EA needs for their game to be profitable. EA being one of the biggest games makers worldwide who go so far as to scan premier league footballers facial expressions at a cost of millions for their fifa game could so easily add a search box to a list of items - it isn't beyond them. So they have chosen to leave the GTHQ as it is and will never fix or improve it. I posted this a couple of days ago but they deleted my post. The truth hurts EA? Terrible customer service - if this is their business model then that's fine they should at least acknowledge the fact and let gamers decide whether to stay or walk away rather than delete 'uncomfortable' posts.

Well... I can live with the fact that they need to make money somehow. The game itself is free, but obviously cost money to develop. That's quite normal in a profit-organisation.
But I would like the bug to be fixed making the game crash every other time I enter the market. That's useless and frustrating. I don't care about seeing items that are gone by the time you get to the city; that's part of the game, but the crashes are killing...
- Anonymous10 years agoThe popular items shown in the global market are like ghost list (past/gone items), because every time I click to the items, nothing appear.
(But for non-popular items is good, there are several non-popular items shown.)
It's not good if all time players click and then found nothing.
(The showing items are already gone while traveling to the most player's machines)
If you have no solution processing fast and faster enough to get rid of the ghost items (advance level in difficult way is about prediction).
I have a simple solution to propose. Could you dedicate first 8 items used old algorithm, and the rest items used new algorithm?
(i'd like to find popular items more than non-popular item)
This will merge the pro of two algorithms, than use one algorithm to merge all selling items into one big list because this game has a limitation of showing items per time that already make my showing items as ghost list. - Anonymous10 years agoJust wanted to thank you, EA, for the wonderful job you all did in fixing the global market. Now I only have to battle a horde of other cities that must all be looking the same "random" global market page I am. Surely the odds of me not able to buy one item cannot be zero? I mean, spending 30 minutes trying to buy 1 bloody cream, one would think I could buy at least one. Guess what? Zero percent. I especially want to thank your QA team or any other reviewing body for figuring out this patch would be a rousing success. Was there like 5 load testers that said, "Yep, works for us!" Please, please, please at least acknowledge that you all made a mistake and a new fix will be out soon.
- Anonymous10 years agoThat hope is like blowing in the wind... unfortunately... EA has got Microsoft-Syndrome. Make game and after a while give users almost useless update and still left important issues unfixed... What a shame...

Had the following issue prior to update, but now it's worse. ONLY when in global trade HQ game crashes....ALOT. I have tried every suggestion found in forums and suggested by EA. I have used 2 different devices with the same issue, I also have a brand new Tab 4 with a quad core 1.2g processor, when is the issue going to be attended to EA? It can't be the fault of my device as others have said they have had the same crashing issue. I have no problems except when trying to purchase item on the trade HQ, is it the server that can't keep up and keeps kicking me off maybe? Why would I want to invest real money on this game if it can't perform properly on our devices that are brand new? I really hope these forums are read by the developers and they invest time in making the game run better and maybe then I would be willing to spend real money on it!
- Anonymous10 years agohas anyone quoted a support ticket yet?
Can someone do it? - Anonymous10 years agoI think that EA should desgin and organize the Global Trade Market into different categories. Such as the tables goes with the tables, the fruit and berries go with the fruit and burries, nails go with the nails, or the metal goes with the metals. Looking at this from this perspective I think that the global trade market would be more organize. All you have to do is like press what object you want to buy and outcomes the object. The way that the global trade markets is formatted it's such a wastes of time. You can never find anything you want because other objects are taking the space. So I think EA should start thinking into programming categories into the global trade market servers. It would make everything easier.
- Ditto, on iPad 4

"Hello Mayor, thanks for contacting us.
I'm sorry you've been having a frustrating time trading and purchasing. The Global Market moves extremely fast and the most desirable items go very quickly, with many Mayors clamouring to buy. We know that some of our Mayors aren't having a great time trading right now, so we're looking into ways to improve the experience for you. We want all our Mayors to be happy and will pass your experiences on to the game team.
If you're concerned that the Simoleons were taken from your account when the sale could not be closed, don't worry - the Simoleons are refunded back to your currency totals afterwards, the next time you visit your Trade Depot. We know this isn't very clear at the moment so are working hard on improving this messaging for the future.
Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback regarding on the Global Market. We've been working continuously behind the scenes to improve the way the Global Market works, as the solution is a series of smaller fixes rather than one large change, so we hope you will see improvements in the future too. It's a delicate balancing act to stabilise an economy that sees more trades per day than the New York Stock Exchange. As SimCity BuildIt is a brand new title, we're very interested in suggestions, ideas and feedback from our players to make it the best game around, so I'll be sure to pass your comments to the team.
