But you then wouldn't be prodded into buying anything. It's like when ships and planes require a cargo it is no longer available in the global trade center. All an attempt to get money. I'd rather by sim city outright.
- Anonymous10 years agoBarter system for Global Trade HQ please?!
To whom it may concern,
I think Sim BuildIt is a fantastic game but the current Global Trade is a let down.
I'm tired of seeing the same things for sale, and various items that are harder to make or items that are rare to either never be available to buy or it gets snapped up by someone else who saw it first and you receive the 'OOPS' message of it not being available.
I think it be a lot more enjoyable if a barter or trade system can be set up. For eh if I need the item, I can trade with someone else who has the item and wouldn't mind letting theirs go for the item I have to offer.
At this point not only does it seem like certain items are never there, I feel that people are using It solely as a Simoleon (money) making tool. Only making the items they feel is a profit to them such as TV, couches etc.
I hope you will consider my idea and find a way to incorporate.
Kind regards - Anonymous10 years agoUg tell a lot more people to trade or sell their things without having a limit to it because I'm getting very frustrated because every time I click on something it's done sold

can we get a search option for the Trade HQ?
All SimCity Buildit players:
I have two cities, one each on different devices. The first city has been in existence for some time now. It is at level 41, 621,767 Sims, over 6 million Simoleans, have thousands of Simcash, have completed most or about to complete all city achievements, have expanded the city to within five zones of maximum (including beach), have created cities in Tokyo, Paris, have Halloween Parks, Vu's Tower, the Airport and Cargo Ship, city services are projected to be adequate to over one million Sims, even the city storages' next level is 230 items. . etc etc etc
ALL THE ABOVE WITHOUT "HACKING THE GAME" AND VERY LITTLE TROUBLE.
And my second city is performing better than the first because I have learned from my own mistakes.
While I do agree that the GTHQ's needs work, I still seem to find the items needed to expand or have expanded the city in the past. I have written several posts on this topic before explaining ways to get around. Do they always work? For the most part yes. Do I wait for certain items, yes definitely. But if you are waiting for certain items move on to another aspect of your cities development in the meantime.
Do I have more trouble than not - no.
Food for thought:
1) You do not have to wait for a "30 second refresh". If the cities market you are in does not have what you need then extinguish that market by "X'ing out and move on to another market, I can access 4-5 markets in less than one minute. Do I see the "sold" sign, well yea. Keep moving,
2) Check markets that do not have the item you need, you would be surprised and what you can find. And is where I find what I need the most.
3) Buy items from "Daniels City", some useful items there and at minimum cost, if you do not need them sell at the GTHQ's. You can make a profit.
4) Slow your games' growth down so you can accumulate Simoleans and then purchase the larger quantities for sale. If you do not need all that you buy then re-sell them.
5) Scour other cities for "balloon pops", free, free, free items offered.
Does EA need to tweak the GTHQ's. Yes, bartering outside of FB, THE ABILITY FOR US TO MANUFACTURE OUR OWN EXPANSION ITEMS, logging into another city so that only the two logged together cities can buy or trade each others items.
I have said this many times now. The intent of this game is not for us to get to the "finish line" as fast as we can. Its purpose is to give us something to do with our spare time. To give us something to think about and plan for. The original author of SimCity; Mr. Will Wright (back in the late 1980's) was a genius for his foresight of urban planning and development but Mr. Wright knew all along that this takes time. Patience - be patient.
If we were all to finish this game to the max of its abilities in a couple of weeks, what do we do then?
Am I taking the side of EA? Not a chance. But lets give them a little credit. I suspect that if EA changed this "freemium game" to a one time purchase to play that there still would be complaints about something. Not trying to "bash" anyone here, just trying to stay positive and have patience while playing this game.
This game gives me a sense of accomplishment, makes me think about the future of my city and how I can grow it to the satisfaction of my Sim citizens. Provide them with city services, roads, infrastructure and entertainment that exceeds just about any "real" city in the USA. I would love to live in my own SimCity!

I think, people do not realize how the fact what you have to hunt for certain items is an addicting one! If the players could find anything they need all the time, they would stop playing the game within a week, I guess -- there would be no challenge at all!
(Instead, we could simply ask the game to find or manufacture every necessary part on its own, and build and position all the possible buildings, and do not even bother with showing it to us afterwards 😉

In sim city build it i cant buy anything on the trade center even after a refresh the stuff i need is still sold and it says the lemas made a mistake help me fix it please
- Anonymous10 years agoEA only cares about money. I've been dumped here when I wrote support asking about when the global trade market would be fixed. I see the answer is never. As such, I recommend everyone take screen shots of the item bookkeeping error, and forward it to Google play demanding a refund for any money you spent. The game is broken, my money needs to be refunded. They refuse to fix it. Problem solved.

Like so many others, I think the trade market needs an overhaul that creates an actual marketplace. Replace the auto-sell process with the ability to destroy items in your inventory and add functionality for users to search for any item. Also, allow users to set any price they like for items and let the market decide the value.

I will never use real cash on this game or any other game, but I understand what you are saying, I love this game, I stop playing for a few hours then come back and see if my chances are any better to buy or sell items lol
