I spoke too soon. The problem just reappeared. 😞
I've been getting this glitch and one where all of the objects are "black". It looks like we see the bare 3d objects that get the images painted onto them. Essentially, any time the game "resumes" after a period of time, this occurs. Sometimes it occurs after an ad has played if I take too long to return to my city.
It is very frustrating and I've gotten to the point where I kill the app rather than just pressing home to leave it.
Just asking: have you tried changing Open GL engine to SKIA (from Developers options)?
