How do I chat with other players

Question

- Can I chat with anyone or just members in my group.&nbsp;- I went to the chat option and sent a message but don’t know if anyone received it.&nbsp;- How do I know who is online. &nbsp;&nbsp;- when going into the chat option, I see the place where I send the message but do not see where to enter&nbsp; a players name..- when I enter a comment, I then press enter but no one ever responds,&nbsp;i- if someone can send me a step by step process on how to send someone a message that would be great&nbsp;&nbsp;- if there is already a document that shows a step by step process on how to use the messaging option that would be great&nbsp;-I tried googling it but so far can’t find what I am looking for.&nbsp;Thank you for any help&nbsp;

at one time ppl could add each other via google games acct. until EA removed it. so, you need to have your friend on your game friend list then you guys can chat. it does only work if you are on each other's game friend list. the other way to chat is you both in same club together fir the wars thing. there are special windows to chat for club wars thing. last but not least, you and friend both need to have the chat option selected. my chat option is off due to extenuating circumstances. hope that helps. i think instructions are under help option too.
