I’d like to submit a feature request
Hello SimCity BuildIt Development Team,
I’m a long-time SimCity BuildIt player and I’d like to submit a feature request that many players in the community have been asking for.
1. Full 3D POV / Immersive Camera View
One of the most requested features is a true 3D camera perspective that allows players to:
- Zoom in closer to street level
- Freely rotate and tilt the camera in all directions
- Look into the distance across the city (horizon view)
- Explore the city in a more immersive way, similar to flying a drone or walking through the city. While SimCity BuildIt already uses 3D graphics, the current camera is limited to an angled top-down view. A more flexible POV system would greatly enhance immersion and make players feel more connected to their cities.
2. Street-Level or Citizen Perspective (Optional Mode)
Many players would love an optional mode where they can:
- View streets, buildings, parks, and landmarks from ground level
- Watch traffic, citizens, and city life up close
- Enjoy the city they built, not just manage it
This could be a purely visual feature without affecting gameplay performance.
3. Improved Visual Distance & Detail
Players also request:
- Better draw distance so the city feels larger and more realistic
- Enhanced lighting, shadows, and reflections when zoomed in
- More visible animations for vehicles, services, and citizens. 4. Other Popular Community Requests
In addition to camera improvements, players often ask for: - More realistic traffic behavior and animations - Expanded map sizes or unlockable districts. - Deeper city simulation options (services, zoning, policies) - More customization for buildings, roads, and landmarks
Why This Matters
SimCity BuildIt is visually beautiful, and adding a more immersive 3D POV would: - Increase player engagement and satisfaction - Make cities feel more alive and personal
- Bring the mobile SimCity experience closer to PC-level immersion
- Thank you for continuing to support and improve SimCity BuildIt. I hope you will consider these features for future updates, as they are highly desired by the community.
Kind regards,Adrian
