[Service 2.0] Heavy Lag, HQ Stuttering and "Dancing Objects" - Tab S9 FE
Hi Everybody, Device Information: Model: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (8 GB RAM) OS: Android 16 / One UI 8.0 Kernel-Version: 5.15.180-android Processor: Exynos 1380 The Issue: Since the Service 2.0 update, SimCity BuildIt has severe performance issues on my tablet: Building Lag: In the DC city, buildings "dance" around or react with a massive delay during placement. Global HQ & Trade Depot: While scrolling through the Global HQ or visiting other cities' Trade Depots, the game freezes for several seconds. This leads to accidental city visits or, even worse, accidental purchases of items because the UI lags right when I'm scrolling. Memory Management: Free RAM drops as low as 1.4 GB despite having 8 GB total. The game ran perfectly smooth before the update. Has somebody else this problem?218Views1like13CommentsCity completely dark – lighting/rendering bug
Hello EA Support Team, I’m experiencing a graphics/rendering bug in SimCity BuildIt. Description: My city suddenly became completely dark. This is NOT normal night mode. There are no street lights or building lights visible at all. The entire city scene is black, while the UI works normally. The issue also happens when I visit other players’ cities, so it seems to be a global rendering/lighting problem, not city data corruption. What I’ve tried: Clear game cache Restart device Reinstalling the game Re-enter the city Visit other cities None of these fixed the issue. Device information: Device: Xiaomi Redmi 8A Pro Android version: Android 10 RAM: 2 GB GPU: Adreno 505 Game version: 1.74.2.150717 Additional notes: This looks like a lighting or shader rendering failure after a recent update. Thank you for your help.423Views2likes16CommentsUsing Stored Utility Service Buildings in Design
I still have a few stored utility buildings (power, water, etc) from the Services update. I've been using them in Design, assuming they would be returned to me. But have I been assuming wrong? I used a stored fusion plant, and it's gone now!198Views3likes5CommentsWhy was my city moved into the mirror?
Hello, why was my city ID:7almlpw8hikb moved to the so-called mirror (ban) after 18-20 years of playing? In which I don't see the other clubs I've been to. I ask you to reconsider your own or automatic decision to ban all those guilty or not guilty. Have a nice day.74Views0likes1CommentIn-game "Contact Us" feature stuck on loading
Hi everyone, Recently, I encountered a technical bug with the Mayor’s Contest Wheel. This glitch caused my account to be flagged incorrectly, and I’ve been placed in the "Isolator Server" (banned?). I can no longer see the normal Global Trade HQ or participate in Club activities. EA Support instructed me to use the in-game "Contact Us" feature to submit a ticket. They stated this is the only way for the technical team to access my data and fix the bug. However, the "Contact Us" button is stuck on a perpetual loading screen. I’ve tried switching networks, clearing cache, and reinstalling the app, but nothing works. I even tried looking for the old 「simcity-buildit.zendesk.com」 portal I saw in YT, but that site is now defunct. Has anyone successfully loaded the in-game support page? (Are there specific network or VPN settings required?)466Views2likes10CommentsIcons Not Displaying (Blank White Boxes) – Already Tried Basic Fixes
Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing an issue where icons in my game are not displaying at all—they appear as blank white boxes across the interface. This is affecting gameplay and making navigation very difficult. Has anyone else experienced this recently, or is this a known issue? Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.66Views1like1CommentMemory Leak & Error 17 on Tab S9 FE (8GB RAM) after Region Switch & Using HQ
Hi Everyone, I’ve been monitoring the performance on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (8GB RAM) since the Services 2.0 update. I’ve noticed a significant Memory Leak that seems to be triggered by switching maps and visiting the Global HQ. My Observations: Baseline: After a fresh restart, the system shows 4.5 GB of free RAM. Startup: Opening SimCity drops free RAM to 2.7 GB (Game uses ~1.8 GB). Activity: After visiting Regions or the Global HQ, the free RAM fluctuates heavily and drops down to 2.1 GB or even 1.7 GB in peak moments.' The Issue: The game does not seem to release memory after switching back from Regions or visiting the Global HQ. When the free RAM hits the 1.7 GB - 2.1 GB range, the system becomes unstable. Sometimes items in the Global HQ stop loading (empty boxes), and this often leads to Error 17 (Connection lost), likely because the system is struggling to manage the memory and the data sync at the same time. Steps taken: Cleared App Cache for SimCity Simcity set to "Excluded " Disabled RAM Plus (to use only physical RAM). Restarted the device multiple times. Is anyone else experiencing these RAM drops and subsequent connection errors specifically after visiting Regions or intensive HQ surfing?"
