Have you tried "bulldozing" your existing building and then replacing it with a new "Residential Zone"? Choose a building that has a high property value - press the residential icon and the buttons below it - you will see a Simolean and a hard hat...if the property value is high, bulldoze it and then replace it with a new residential zone (or Tokyo Town Zone) and rebuild. It will auto-magically become a glass skyscraper.  Please note, it is more difficult to build the skyscrapers than the brick buildings...but it's worth it!

To build a luxury tower, you only need two specializations. Then click on the add house button, three buttons will show up on the right. The bottom hard hat will show the wealth forecast for the spot you are building in. Standard and premium are different shades of yellow. Modern (Luxury) towers are orange. Make sure the spot you are building shows luxury and you will pop a modern skyscraper. Good Luck

Hi all. Newbie here. I see everyone suggesting bulldozing an existing building then rebuilding it to get the glass skyscrapers. Instead of bulldozing, is it not possible to just move the building and start a new one that would develop into a glass style?
