Issues with G+ friend

Hi, I'm still new-ish to buildit and am trying to connect with a google+ follower to be "friends" in game. We are both connected to google play in game but cannot figure out how to see each other under the friends tab, just shows Daniel. Ive done some reading and watching but can't find much up to date info on this. I'm not sure if it might be because we just started following each other on google+ in order to be friends in game. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @zeesol8,

Try to log out of Google Play in-game and log in again, both you and your friend. This should update your friends list.

If it doesn't help, please, make sure your friend is in a public circle.
