Items for Storage expansion
Ugh!
I just spent three hours trying to get the last 6 items needed to level up my storage from 130 to 140. Namely I needed 4 cameras and 2 locks. I had more than enough simoleans to purchase what I needed, so I figured it was just a matter of time.
...but three hours? Three hours of nothing but refreshing the GTHQ screen, going to other cities, finding it had been sold, then going back to the GTHQ. Frustration. Boredom.
That's half an hour per item. ..... actually it's an hour per item, because I only got 3 of them from the GTHQ itself. The other 3 I got from clicking the gift bubble in those cities where I missed out on the purchase.
So for every hour spent solely on obtaining one particular item, I get one such item.
Seriously? One per hour?
To get to the next level - a storage capacity of 150, I will need 11 of each of the 3 items. 33 items. I am assuming it's 36 for the next level, then 39 after that, then 42, then 45...... etc,
Let me do the math on how long that will take..... Yikes!
And before anyone suggests I just get on with the game and just purchase storage items whenever I see them, I tried that method. I found that playing the Contest of Mayors with such a low storage space is next to impossible. I *need* more storage space, so I am making it priority one.
You know, I would like to see these items cost three times as much. Why? So people will more readily sell them, and so only the really serious will buy them. That way, when you are in a phase of increasing your storage, there are more items around, plus people won't tend to buy them just because they are there. ...thus the game will be less boring in the strategic "increase" phases of play.
Because every stage of the game should be fun, and angst-free.
