[Info] Why clicking ads (Temu/TikTok) crashes the game

 If your game crashes or restarts without a reward after you click "Google Play" on heavily animated ads like Temu or TikTok, here is what happens technically:

When you click the link, your device opens the Google Play Store, pushing SimCity into thebackground. If your device doesn't have a massive amount of RAM (memory), your operatingsystem automatically kills SimCity in the background to free up memory for the Play Store.

When you hit the back button, the game has to reboot entirely. Because the game was closedbefore it could register the "Ad finished" signal, you lose the reward. Also, some of thesespecific ad-networks are poorly coded and will crash the game's interface if you interact with them.

The Workaround:

Never tap the ad itself or the "Download / Google Play" buttons. You have to stubbornly wait out the timer completely until the actual small "X" appears in the top corner. It's annoying, but ignoring the ad links is the only way to secure your reward without a crash.
