Re: 💭Services 2.0 - Full Rollout - Feedback Thread

A little block of flats was not happy, so out of curiosity I went to investigate.

They wanted a park, meanwhile the rest of the population was crying out for more police, fire, health and the other services. Unreal huh? 🤣

I can't afford to buy them a park after spending the best part of 10 million coins to try and sort out the mess caused by Services 2!

My capital and 2 regions are 100% happy. However I've another 3 regions that are bordering 20%. I have nothing left in the coffers and I refuse point blank to buy coins and my income tax earnings are still not a patch on what they used to be.

Services 2 has wrecked my city and my will to play. Yes I know there is a feedback thread specifically for Services 2 but on the evidence infront of me, nothing from any comments has been replied to by EA or has been addressed by the "studio". They have had plenty of time to do so but so far, nada.

Pretty much what I've been expecting but the disappointment is still real here 😞

Fun? That sounds like a bigger chore than the game has already became! 🤣

Thanks but I doubt the love will return, they've killed that off a long time ago with their reductions in mayor pass prizes, plus it's a game, not a second unpaid job, a fact that they seem to have overlooked lately - I don't and won't be playing it 24/7 which is what it seems to feel like most of the time.

One of my club members told me he makes a million simoleons every other day. What, how, omg I hear you ask. Ok the secret is allow yourself 1 full hour to produce steel and then produce nails @ cheetah speed then sell on global. Also make wood and planks. So for 1 hour you can make and produce a lot of them and collect a few $. That’s if you can spare 1 hour!
    Have fun

This was my posting some days ago in an other thread.

It's great to see 100% satisfaction back in the capital city. But don't ignore your regions: while they don't pay takes directly, their satisfacti on level reflects on your overall tax rate! So, how much do you value your regionale builbings?

Here my strategy for handling the service 2.0 mess:

dare to demolish: Before the rollout I deliberately demolished some fully upgraded building in my regions. Why? To instantly loswerden service demand. You can always rebuild them step-by-step once your capacity allows it.

know your capacities: Check you service buildings. A fully upgraded house needs 30 to 50 units depending on the type. Do you math: How many builbings can your Power plant actually support?

the "regional tax": don't forgett that in regions, specify services (like Power in Frosty Fjords) Requieres 1 extra unit per building compared to the capital.

Radius Efficiency: Make sure that Fire, Police, Health, and regional services do not overlap. Double-couvering residential areas is a waste of resources that you'll need elsewhere.

Bottom line: Don't treat regions as an afterthought. Plan them as efficiently as your capital to Keeper your tax rate maxed out

    Perhaps this could help you.

By the way, to save my simeolons i have put several  omega parcs into my city which you can buy with 5 platin keys .

I hear you. Disappointment for sure, especially after playing for such a long time, designing everything perfectly, and spending so much built up Simoleons and Simcash to upgrade services.

I hope this reply can help restore some love of the game for you.

I don't blame you for not wanting to spend real money. I refuse to spend real money.

It's quite tedious to produce, sell, watch ads and make just enough to upgrade one collection of services.

One thing I've learned, parks are not required for 100% happiness, neither are landscape, beach, hot spots, mountain, landmarks, etc. those are nice for earning epic tokens and taxes, but not required for happiness.

Consider the slow approach for now, if it will help.

One could put all population boosters in storage, focus entirely on everything above the line in the menu and you would receive 100% happiness.

Population boosters are nice for increased revenue.

Consider demolishing all roads and starting over with the roads and only fixing red roads that pop up, yellow roads really don't matter.

It may take some time, but that is a quick way to earn Simoleons along with producing and selling everything and watching ads.

That has been my approach to this grueling process.

Slow and steady wins the race. I hope you can find some enjoyment again.
