kindle fire 3rd gen cannot upgrade using amazon app store sim city buildit

Have you tried going to the Amazon App Store and downloading the Google Play app? 

If your SimCity is already linked to your Facebook account, you should be able to:

•Uninstall SimCity BuildIt 

•Download the Google Play app at the Amazon App Store

•Download SimCity BuildIt from the Google Play app

•Play through a short tutorial, (or not. Sometimes it's not necessary) until the settings or tools icon appears in upper-right of screen, then log in to Google Play.

•☆You will then be asked to select from two cities. (I usually select the one with the highest population or the longest hours played.)

  Edit: This should allow you to restore the city you've built at the Amazon App Store and "move it over" to Google Play.
