Any LGBT content available in our games is optional so you can choose to not play that type of content if you wish.

Just a side note, perhaps this individual simply chose this name to be attacked in the war game...I do not know. The benefit of the doubt goes a long way in establishing tolerance and eliminating hate.... Good luck to you.

I don't see a problem here. People are free to have their own opinions and feeling about this issue. There is a little thing called free speech. Just because you don't agree with what someone says doesn't take away their right to say it. 

Free speech is clearly limited in EA's games by their user agreement. You can read the full user agreement on the bottom of this page.

It says in chapter 6:

When you access or use an EA Service, you agree that you will not:

• Harass, threaten, bully, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another player that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.
• Contribute UGC or organize or participate in any activity, group or guild that is inappropriate, abusive, harassing, profane, threatening, hateful, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invades another's privacy, or is otherwise reasonably objectionable.

It is my understanding that EA encourages free expression in this forum especially when nothing inappropriate, abusive, harassing, profane, threatening, hateful, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, etc. has occurred in this thread. Patience and tolerance are key, translated there is no need to bust in like a shopping mall rental cop with your plastic bayonet drawn - that’s the Community Manager’s job (no offense intended to the CM’s). All individuals see things from their personal perspective and my simple suggestion is to be tolerant and let the CM’s do their jobs as needed and just move on...

A city name "STOP LGBT" in upper case letters is more than just a opinion. This is the type of content I have problems with, too.

Crewldude, I apologize to you - this mayor’s anger is obviously directed toward me and I’m sure has little to do with this issue.
