Lost Ad-Powered Factory & Speed-Ups

For no apparent reason, I am all of the sudden no longer able to watch ads to speed up the production of industrial items, or to not have to wait when getting a new set of items to upgrade a building...

I had this problem too, but only on my Amazon Fire tablet. Worked on Android and iOS. So I downloaded Google Play on my Fire tablet (do a search to find instructions). Then installed the Google Play’s Simcity Buildit version. Now it works.
