- Anonymous11 years agoI was just as frustrated as you all were. For now, things have been selling for me. List items at a good price. Do not advertise them all. Post a sapling for like $299-399 and advertise that. When I do that all my good prices inventory is bought.
Just do not advertise everything. You only need one or two advertised to get the people in the door.
I will keep reading this thread and will respond if anything changes.
My name is Mark, I'm 38 and addicted to this game. - Anonymous11 years ago
I don't see any advantage not to advertise everything. More advertising means more people coming to your store since not everyone might be interessted in what you advertised, but they might be in stuff you didn't.
Anyway, just be patient, they will get sold eventually.

I've tried everything. Several times. I've had 15 slots for a while, so I've settled for just not putting anything on sale except batches of 10 high value items. These take a bit of time to get, so by the time I've filled all my slots, Daniel has started to empty some. It's not ideal, but the trade system (both buying and selling) is a complete joke, so there's little real alternative right now. Not even trading between friends... as most of the time the items don't even show up then, either.
- Anonymous11 years agomight sound odd, but i think things started when i started trying to sell the new disaster items.. (glove, battery, remote) after that nothing else sold.. i removed those items an suddenly everything got sold in minutes again..
ive just put som disaster stuff in the que to be sold, and everything seems to stop again and the other items dont get sold..
is this just me?! or do you guys notice the same? - Anonymous11 years agoOn the topic of not advertising everything, consider this; if you advertise everything right away, you run out of attempts to put your shop in the public eye. If things are moving slowly, consider spacing your "advertise" attempts out every twenty minutes or so. There is currently a glitch in the system that causes items to simply not be sold. The only ways I've seen to fix the glitch is to either add another slot, or spend simcash and forfeit the item. If you keep a few items not advertised, you at least have a glimmer of hope in the market working at that very moment, and you'll be seen and visited. Just a theory, of course, but as of yet EA has yet to chime in on this thread, so for now I'm calling it the truth.
- Anonymous11 years agoIf EA means to do this to push us spending our simcash, I think there is no point to continue to play this game, because it is an awful design.
- Anonymous11 years agoI also having the same problem, been 3 days my market trade never sold even I am sure all stuffs sale at very low price. I tried 2 times to emptying my bix by losing $2 but still the same result. None of my selling stuffs sold. Perhaps this issue can be an attention for the builder of this game.
- Anonymous11 years agoI have had to stop playing the game, it's gone from all market items selling in seconds to nothing sells at all. After a day or two of nothing selling game is locked up. It's never worked well it's impossible to buy anything from trade shop either always says items have sold. It's a shame as it was a good game but with two major parts of the game not working and no fix appearing on the horrizon, I will have to leave this game alone for now! Good luck with it hope someone tries to fix it soon, none of the other games I play are this bad.
