And there are many posts about it here but no response. - Anonymous11 years ago
I bought from "Daniel" for the first time and then almost immeditately I couldn't sell anything (seeds, always an item that sells almost instantly). Removing it for 1 Simcash would allow a sale but then the same thing happens again almost immeditately.
Could there be a corrolation between buying from Daniel and your Trade Depot breaking down?
Maybe until they can fix the issue they should remove the 1 Simcash cost from removing sales. I don't need the item back but at least the Simcash could be saved.
- Anonymous11 years agoIf you delete any item from your Trade Market, that item don't go back to your Depot. It desapears.

So... go to buy stuff, and the items are no longer for sale. Go to sell stuff and it doesn't sell. There's not really anything else to the multiplayer side of this game. How could they mess this up so badly? Uninstalling, maybe I'll check back in a few months to see if they fixed it.
- Anonymous11 years agoHave the same problem for a couple of days now. With almost 20k in value at the market, I am not too comfortable in just removing the items from the market. I tried removing one of the items and it did not solve the problem. Buying something on the global market also did not solve it...
- Anonymous11 years agoSimilar issues for me also. It seems the flow of sales are heavily influenced by the games back-end and not by the interaction of the players. I currently have 3 devices running 3 different cities, I had started these within 1 weeks of each other, and although my startup strategies have been varied the result is more or less the same.
Right around level 9 you will hit a road block in sales which has nothing to do with supply-demand, lack of marketing or even a dodgy Internet connection, and Yes I agree that it seems sinister and it probably has a lot to do with in-app sales and EA's infamous reputation doesn't help either.
But if you hang in there soon you will notice that as the game matures Beyond level 12, the sales will kick in again. Although it doesn't hurt to cycle through some sale listings deleting or resetting them I don't think it is completely necessary. I have tried all techniques on all devices and can promise you that if you persevere beyond level 12 the game becomes much more interesting. And if you think global trading is fun and lucrative wait till you see some of the offers your sims make for products, for e.g I just sold 6 watermelons for $8900 and now working on sports shoes x5 for $7k. Money isn't as much of an issue and trading is more for buying then selling now that my city has larger needs.
Have faith in the game, be patient, build strategically and watch it all unfold.... Happy new year. 🙂 - Anonymous11 years ago
Greetings Mayors,
We can appreciate how frustrating it can be to experience slow sales - especially if you've been selling out fast before.
The Global Market is a real marketplace for you to trade with other players. We'd encourage you to experiment with your pricing strategy and the time of day you post items to get in front of as many Mayors as possible. You can also try staggering your advertisements to ensure your city is regularly appearing in the Global Market, or inviting friends to visit your city. To make sure that you can always find a buyer, Mayor Daniel (a non-player character) will purchase your remaining items in the marketplace if you haven't found a buyer within 48 hours.
We are always looking at ways to improve the Global Market, so thanks for letting us know.
- Anonymous11 years agoMany thanks for your response and good to see that ea is looking at these forums. But I am sorry to say that the last bit in your response is not working as intended. I am having items in my market place wel over 48 hours by now and there is no sign of Daniel purchasing them. I am just stuck with a full Market place for about three days now....
- "experiment with your pricing strategy"?! Why does my wife's Vegetables priced and advertised at 5 Simoleons not get sold until Daniel buys it 2 days later? Can you please at least acknowledge that the problem is the system, and not the players?

It seems like the global market only shows the most recently listed items? So after a couple of minutes, you're kind of screwed, unless you list another item and the buyer also wants your previous item. That's how it looks to me, anyway. If that's the case, can't you randomise the order instead? Otherwise, if you've filled up all your slots, there's no way to give it this little "jumpstart", unless you spend your hard-earned SImCash. I realise this is one way of getting some revenue, but it feels like a bug to me... a very frustrating one. Though not as frustrating as going to BUY items, and 9/10 it's no longer there.
