12 years agoNeed more options for Trade Depot
We need more controls for managing the stock in the Trade Depot. Currently my Trade Depot is at full capacity and items are no longer selling, which in turn is causing my City Storage inventory to max out, which as a consequence is forcing me to stop production. So now I can't make materials to upgrade my buildings or generate income. In short the lack of more options in the Trade Depot has brought this game to a screeching halt.
Today I deleted an item from my Depot to see if the other items would sell afterwards as has been posted in other threads. Nothing changed. So In the free slot I put up an item for sale at a cheap price and figured if it sold, then the others would soon sell also. The new item sold quickly, but the other items have still not sold. Which tells me the items in my depot may be overpriced. Unfortunately the only way to resolve this in the current state of the game is to delete and lose thousands of dollars of inventory, then re-make/purchase those items and sell them at a lower price and hope they sell at the new price. If they don't then I would need to do it all over again and lose countless amount of product and money in this ridiculous process. This nightmare could be remedied by implementing two changes:
*The ability to cancel a sale and return item to our City Storage. (according to the games FAQ/guide this option is not present because the City Storages space is "limited". If I have enough space in my City Storage available then it should be available as an option in the Trade Depot)
*The ability to go in and adjust the price and quantity of items currently being sold. Furthermore, you shouldn't have to pay sim cash either for the ability to make these changes. Since market demand fluctuates by nature, you shouldn't be penalized for market forces which you have no control over.
These are just two simple and basic options that should have been available since the beginning. Instead the lack of them is only serving to break and ruin what should have been fun and enjoyable game. For now I will just go in and change my rating for this game and discourage others from playing it until this is fixed.
