Major Service Bug - New Player Gameplay Hindered

I am reporting a critical bug that is halting my city's progression just a few days after starting. I am experiencing the "Major Service Bug": water and sewage icons show as missing despite having more than enough capacity. When I move an affected building, the problem moves with it. All my buildings were placed in the last three days and all are affected.

As an experienced player starting a new city, this completely blocks my ability to grow and progress.

I have attached two screenshots showing the service overcapacity and the persistent error icons on my buildings.

I expect this issue to be fixed. If a core gameplay bug like this remains unresolved, I will request a refund for my in-game purchases or start a formal dispute of the credit card charges.

"This is a critical report. The fact that you are seeing these icons despite having documented overcapacity on a brand-new city layout proves this is a systemic bug within the Service 2.0 update.

If you are looking for ways to stabilize your city while fighting this, here are the most effective steps based on what we've seen since the rollout:

    • Beware the 'Population Trap': This is the most frustrating part of the bug. Your population is currently low because your happiness is low. As you start fixing services and happiness rises, your population will grow again. This means your service demand will spike, and you will likely find your capacity is 'insufficient' all over again. You have to over-build your capacity far beyond what you think you need just to survive the recovery.
    • Check Your Inventory/Storage: EA has quietly 'gifted' some players fully upgraded, high-capacity service buildings to compensate for these glitches. Check your general storage immediately; if they are there, placing them is often the only way to 'force' the game to recognize service coverage.

How to Contact In-Game Support Properly: To ensure your report is logged and to reach a human advisor (like Vinay), follow these steps:

    1. Tap the Settings (Wrench icon) in the top right.
    2. Select Help and then Contact Us.
    3. Select a category like Technical Support or Report a Bug.

Important: The system will first show you 'helpful articles'. You must tap 'No, it did not help' at the bottom to reach the actual verification screen and open a chat ticket.

Hold Firm Against Scripts: When you reach an advisor, they will likely give you a scripted response about 'incomplete road networks'. Since your screenshots already prove you have capacity and a fresh layout, do not let them close the ticket on that excuse. Point them back to your capacity screenshots immediately.

Your report is the clearest evidence yet that this update is broken at the core level. Hopefully, seeing it impact new players will force a real fix."

    Fellow Mayor.

Thanks! I am trying to get their attention on multiple channels but so far without success. Issued a support ticket on the chat four days ago but that's gone without response.

I completely agree, extremely frustrating. I am hovering on level 13 for two days because none of my buildings can be upgraded and I can't build new ones.

Of course, no response from the team through my bug report or here in the forum. Are there any other channels we can leverage.

At a bare minimum, you would expect the developer to recognize this wide spread issue and put down a timeline. How did we get to this point???
