need to update birthday in simcity build It

Question

When I started the game, I didn't realize the birthday is an important thing. I just let it be at 2024. After I started, I realized there are many limitations, if you are underaged in the game. I tried to change the birthday in the settings but it doesn't let me. I can't trade, I can't link accounts because in their eyes I am a minor. And I am afraid I will lose all the progress to the city so far, plus all the packages bought. I wonder if there is a way you can update your birthday without having to restart (uninstalling the game). Please let me know!&nbsp;

@SosoFrisan I dunno the specifics but I think you need to be over 13 to play the game, why I dunno, maybe that's the minimum age to be on social media too?
What gets me is the insane level of censorship with the club chat, all my team are adults, 4 of them live within 3 miles of me and I've known them for decades and another is my wife of almost 31 years 🤣

Hi @SosoFrisan , sadly there is no way to change the age once the game has started. I'm afraid you will need to wait until the date of birth you entered is considered overage to start trading and link your account.

You could try uninstalling the game but remember to save your progress first.

Update anything that needs updating on your device, then restart it, you could then reinstall the game and be asked in-game for your birth year and month.

I hate the scroller thing they use, it takes me ages to get to the right year 🤣

That's what I did eventually. I couldn't find any way to update even after I tried to contact them. Unfortunately, if you are underaged, you can't even link your game to google play or social media. So I couldn't save anything. Just restart from scratch.
