Perks of Newer Players on Sim City Build It

It seems all the newer players get more money options to make cash. They get to watch a video to complete their factory materials and more.... Why was this not at least an option for the older people that have had to do everything on there on their own and that have struggled to get where they are at and worked much longer on things than we ever had to. I have more to say about all of this and I will come back soon to see if the people have noticed and if EA can help as well. Thanccsgv

I too have been playing 10 years now and have noticed the same items being rehashed and I have at least 2 or 3 of the same items being put up by EA to purchase be it by sim cash, coins and or gold keys and platinum keys.

My storage is chock a block with items that I don’t even use in the game!

  • @4b07573fdf3e7c57 New players are encouraged to want "everything now"
They'll be offered to buy growth packs or whatever they are called - basically all the devs want or seem to be interested in these days is milking as much money as possible out of players or "cashcows"
As for what you said about making cash, do you mean SimCash or coins?
Either way, coins is by far the hardest to accumulate for new players, they don't have the capacity to churn out various items in bulk - they don't have enough factories or commercial buildings.
Upgrading commercials is expensive too, catch 22 basically.
I have 12 factories plus the ad-powered one and even they are all not enough these days 🤣
As for watching videos to speed up factory production, that's something I cannot do since I got a new tablet about 2 or 3 years ago (guessing)
Basically Android 14 with Samsung's One UI has caused an issue with the speed swipe thing.
If I log in on my old tablet, which runs Android 13 and One UI, there is no problem with speed swipe.
I have reported this issue to "Customer Disservices" several times to no avail
Apparently it's nothing to do with Android 14 running One UI...
    Ok (sigh)
Speed swipe works on an even older device running Android 8 I think it is but my city is too big to run properly on the old one lol
    Anyhoo
I started out making and selling what I could spare to earn coins.
I never or at least seldom sell anything that I can use to make something else with though - now there's a good tip for new players!

Simcash is far easier to get these days but infinitely harder to hold on to.
If you wanna upgrade weapons, trains, buy fancy buildings etc, your Simcash melts faster than snow in Spring 🤣
    Why is that?
Yet another way to try to get me to use my debit card to buy more perhaps?
Why do you think they reduced the Simcash prize at Tier 38?
    They want my debit card!
Why have they slashed Simcash prizes in chests for Club Challenge?
    Yup...
Why are war cards, train cards, factory slots, commercial slots, Maxis Manors, Omega Research Centers etc etc etc so expensive?
They all need Simcash, it's the most important commodity in the game and they know it because quite simply they have made it so!
They want my debit card and that's the bottom line!

I don't want or need "everything now" though 😉
I never have and never will.
Yes I used to treat myself to the odd building that caught my eye, or Premium Mayor's Pass and even Premium VU Pass now and again but they have got way too greedy. Especially the last 2 or 3 years.
I have called a halt to spending any more money on the game.
    That's my bottom line!

Let's face it, the game is 10 years old, how much longer will it run for?
I cannot predict that but I don't think the future is too bright and I really fear that my efforts for most of those 10 years will have to be written off pretty soon 😞
