Possible memory leak
I have had my phone for about a year, the Samsung Rugby (SGH-I547). It is running Android 4.1.2 (it is not rooted/cracked/etc in any way). Sim City is the current version as of now, app info shows it as 1.2.23.20736.
Ever since I started playing Sim City I have been having memory issues. After rebooting my phone I have roughly 325mg RAM Free. Starting Sim City Buildit for the first time I have no problems. However after I play it for a while, upon exiting I normally have about 150-200mb RAM free. If I were to play it again sometime in the near future, after exiting would have approx 90-120mb free.
This is where thing get hairy. About half the time my Launcher app (one that came with the phone, not a 3rd party launcher) goes haywire. Icons on the page seem to blink slowly (as though it is trying to display them and the launcher is crashing over and over again. Other times the icons load, however the icon image is just a black square.
In either case the phone is inoperable and rebooting is a must.
I have tried various task killers and/or memory boosters. Once the phone is around 100mb free, these apps act as if they are freeing memory, but the # of mb does not change (sometimes will actually decrease).
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice.
So that's about all I can think of for now. It seems like others have had similar issues, hopefully it will get resolved.
