Re: Dessert store?!?!?!?!? Another shop?!

As I had a lot of GC, I had reached my goal of having 10M in the bank I decided to fully upgrade the two older "new" shops, buy and upgrade the new "new" Dessert shop. That little escapade cost roughly 4.5M GC, 4.5M! Also I decided to do the same with my second city which had about 7M GC in bank. To my surprise my second city Level 85 was not sufficiently advanced to do the upgrades. The Bureau requires L86 for final upgrade. The Country Store requires L92 for third upgrade. The Dessert Shop needs L87 to even start doing even the first upgrade. So most players are stuck with unwanted, long production time shops they cannot even upgrade. So if your aim is to not only alienate more experienced players with the ludicrously high cost but also to annoy the newer players who can not upgrade even if they wanted to I would say you did it EA. Some would say it's a win win. I do however think for some it will be a bin bin.

I am not bothered by upgrades that are above my city level - they do not affect the game and I do not need them for anything.

@muldoonadon THAT’S INSANE! I hadn’t even realised that impact. I’m just removing all the newer shops and if I can’t find an item in the trades, I just change the plans. I’ve abandoned the railway too, it makes no sense I have to manually load passengers, gain tiny amounts of yet another currency, buy items that go up per purchase, and upgrades are impossible to achieve. I’d rather fill the space with buildings/fun additions that add something artistically that is fun to look at. Basically playing the gamer how it was 5yrs ago, old school.
