No, a president may not be removed.
Any or all club members are free to leave any club at any time other than during a war.
You may begin a new club or you are free to browse existing clubs and join, or apply to join, if you'd prefer not to start in a lower war arena.

Yep, I can confirm you can't eject a club president. Believe me, I tried. EA feels that because the president uses sim cash to start the club, it is the president's purview to leave or disband the club.
Ultimately, we made the decision to form a new club and it was the right one. We finally made it to arena 6!

Follow-up question: is it possible for a president to resign and hand the presidency to someone else? I’m hoping this is true, and waiting for him to return for a visit.
Yes. The president may leave the club and the next highest ranking mayor will become president.
If the president prefers to select a lower ranking member to replace him or her, it is advisable to first promote the new president to vice president and "temporarily" demote any other vp(s), then remove him or her self from the club.
Those "temporarily" demoted can, might, and in some cases will be re-promoted, if the new president chooses to do so.
There should be a mechanism to be able to remove an inactive president, for example if a huge percent of senior- V.P. could give a particular order by using a new button or if the system automatically removed them after being totally inactive in both CoM & Wars for more than -let’s say- 3 or 4 months...

@1457699360 Good luck...our beloved President passed suddenly and we informed the appropriate parties and their response was to contact the family and have them remove her from the game (extremely callous - which in any circumstance we would never do) or wait 12 months and ask again. We started a new club in her honor. They are unwilling to do anything that doesn’t generate revenue...such as addressing the cheating issue or even posting what they state in a private message. They are doing an extremely poor job of managing this game particularly from a customer perspective...you listening EA? Of course not!

I am in a similar situation as described in this post. We had an incredibly active club that slowly became more and more inactive. I came back after taking a break for a few months ... but our club has died out. I’m a VP ... I filled the two open spots we had, so now we have 3 active players and I’m going crazy! I love being a part of an active club.
All that to say ... I see your club has open spots (assuming I found the right club) and I’d like to join. My user name is Alabama. Im currently in arena 5 and my war rank is 25. I’m hoping you can confirm you’re still taking new members before I quit my club and apply? We’ve just started a War, so it will be a couple of days.

Alabama, you are definitely welcome so please come on over. It's pretty dead Monday through Wednesday but we're active in the contests and then war on the weekend. Aloha!
