Re: iPad Pro lagging on start-up

That sounds about right. The iPad Pro is a few years old (2015). It might have a harder time performing at the same level as an iPhone 14 max (2022) does. It's a much younger piece of tech. There's not much you can do for lag when the hardware is a factor. Sometimes troubleshooting can help optimize the performance if you'd like to give that a go.
